A MUST DO is a cooking course in the Triana Market - I found them off Get Your Guide - "The 3.5 hour Spanish Cooking Class and Triana Market Tour". Absolutely fabulous! Then definitely the Hop On, Hop Off bus. Fab restaurant in central Seville is La Chalá. And of course, sundown stroll on the rooftop of the Setas de Sevilla.Guest review byMicheleSouth Africa - 10

Salamanca Is a wonderful place that we have loved visiting for many years. We never tire of wandering the streets grazing on wine and tapas and finding different ways to approach the amazing Plaza Mayor.Guest review byMarkUnited Kingdom - 10
Very nice city. It isn't big and can be walked through.
Very nice city. It isn't big and can be walked through. All districts that we visited were tidy, with good architecture and style. Really beautiful streets and architecture, traditional and modern at the same time. Recommend to visit: - San Francisco (central) park - not big, but proposes a good walk. - Catedral de San Salvador - it brings impression. Also nice walking around through older streets, whose squares are the centers of evening entertainment. - Oviedo Congress and Exhibitions Center - very impressive with its size and design. I was shocked encountering such a stylish giant in a city that small. - Sacred Heart of Jesus Monument - the monument itself is nice, but mostly interesting (at least for me) for its amazing view - the whole city can be observed from here, mountain views, your site can even reach the ocean and Gijon. Also there are several points of interest nearby moving back to the city. If you travel with a child, the playgrounds are also fine here. My daughter enjoyed zip lines a lot which are quite common here.Guest review byMikhailRussia - 8.0

Gijon es great place to do many things within 1 hour from Gijon, but I recommend Oveido ,, its much better and only 30 mins away,,, better infrastructure but still a small town,,, both are great ,, to stay a week and from there reach out by car to small towns and beaches.. hiking etc.Guest review byAnonymous - 8.0

Its a busy city with a lot going on and a good night life. i didnt explore much but it didnt seem so historical as other cities however the people are friendly and the prices are decent for Spanish ciites. I dont reccomend Goika, its expensive and the portions were small.Guest review byStrachanUnited Kingdom - 10

Wow! Just so much to see. Surprised we hadn’t heard of Mérida until we were looking for somewhere to break our journey between Lisbon and Seville. One of the most walkable places we have ever been to. Loved it!Guest review byAndyUnited Kingdom - 10

The hotel was in a good location although not easy to find and there wasn’t free parking on the site. Not far from the restaurants and near the river with a nice walk. We only stayed overnight enroute on our journey. We have stayed at nh hotels before and find them very comfortable and clean.Guest review byJohnUnited Kingdom - 10

If you are a fan of Gaudi's architecture , a lover of history, or a Camino Pilgrim, then this town is a must for a couple of days visit. The old city is easy to navigate on foot. The chocolate museum is also worthwhile if your time allows. If we were traveling by car then I think we should have liked to stay an additional night and explore some of the surrounding area. As it was we were slowly making our way by bus from Santiago de Compostella to fly out of Madrid after having walked the Portuguese Camino.Guest review byTraceyAustralia - 8.0

Plasencia is a small town, the centre has narrow hilly streets, parking in the centre is difficult but there is plenty of free parking near to the park with an escalator to take you up the steep hill to the centre. There are several supermarkets, a Carrafeur on the North side and several smaller supermarkets on the south side. There is a river running along the East side. There are many restaurants available, fast food near to the Carrafeur and more upmarket ones in the centre. Plasencia is at the foot of the Jerte valley, where most of the cherries in Spain are grown, you can drive to the top of the valley, which takes around an hour and is very scenic.Guest review byPhilipUnited Kingdom - 10
Lovely city, well recommended.
Lovely city, well recommended. Good food generally and we found one superb restaurant. People tend to eat later than many areas so be aware of this. Plenty to do for a 2 night stay. Very interesting place.Guest review byAlanUnited Kingdom
