It greatly exceeded my expectations. From the pictures, it looked like a nice hotel, and I'm glad to say the pictures don't even do it justice. I initially had my doubts, as it appears to be remote from the city center, but I found it to be just a short stroll away. Plus being in front of a tram stop, and fully interconnected with a dedicated bike lane and many rentals nearby, gives u a ton of options to make the trip downtown even shorter. (4 minutes on a scooter; 15 on a slow walk, 10 by tram) The staff is nice and attentive. On Friday night there was a live Jazz presentation by the bar, which made the reception hall lively. Breakfast was included in my stay and though it didn't fit within my schedule to try it, it looked quite appetizing and with many options to choose from. A great stay.

My Husband and I had a great time at Haikko Manor and Spa! Our room and facilities met all our expectations. The spa zone was nice, there were a lot of different spa activities (a couple of sauna, jacuzzi, pool, and others) and enough space for all the guests. The nature around the hotel was beautiful, a true winter wonderland! A walk around and a small hike after the delicious breakfast - was exactly what we needed. Another nice thing was that we left headphones in our room and lost&found service helped us with arranging the delivery of it to Helsinki. Thanks for your hospitality, Haikko Manor & Spa Team!

Loved the layout of the room, with a desk and mini kitchen area. Room to store a suitcase under the bed. Decent size bathroom with plenty of counter space.

A beautiful city, easy to walk around. Loved the architecture, the arts, the new library, walking around the harbour area, great shops, great cafes & restaurants .. will return definitely. The train station is central, great public transport service. Well done Helsinki ❤️

Vantaa was a good place to stay out of Helsinki with much reasonable prices. The aviation museum is a must see and spent half a day there. The mall near the hotel was very good and spent a whole day there. We used Vantaa as a break between trips but would spend more time in future.

the Turre bed and breakfast is a great guesthouse. There is a couple flights of stairs but the reception staff carried my suitcase up the stairs. The cathedral, castle are wonderful. I also enjoyed the outdoor folk museum. Very worth the visits.

Go south to see the magnificent sea, there is a magnificent 20 km Rantaraitti road by the sea. You can walk, run and cycle there. The road is illuminated and really safe to move around, because the richest residents of Finland live next to the road. For example, the directors of listed companies with their families and residents of embassies. I have also lived there myself. I visited this town many times and I find nothing new.

I visited this town many times and I find nothing new. The radio-communication museum is excellent. A short distance from this museum there is a little lake. If the weather is hot a bathing/swimming there is the right activity. (and after that, the cakes!) From Patria there is a short walk to the Museum and my favorite mini lake. There is a nice park with "dancing waters". A visit to the harbour is interesting.

Imatra has lot to offer for visitors who like to spend time in nature and enjoy clean waters of Saimaa. Choose your accomodation from Imatra spa (Ukonniemi) or Holiday Club and Rauha area and you can enjoy lovely sunsets while having evening swim in lake Saimaa.

Hameenlinna has some excellent museums, including Hame Castle, The Prison, and Sibelius's birthplace (small but important), but always check their opening times; we wanted to visit the Palanderin Talo (a house-museum that would have given us insights into 19th century Finnish life) but it closed at 1600 hours on a Saturday! Aulanko is a pleasant park a few kilometres north of the city. We had our best meal during this trip to Finland at the Piparkakkutalo restaurant, with its lovely ambience, delicious food and charming staff. Note that much of the city centre consists of boring modern buildings, many of which are unused and grafittied.

I generally know and like Lappeenranta - it is a nice town to stay in and to both work and enjoy. Located in the beautiful Finnish nature and at the coas of Saimaa lake. Moreover, the place is good as a base for journeys to the nearby attractions as well as e.g. for shopping.

Old town vibe. Very nice for a day trip and walk. There’s a few good bars and restaurants, and even in the evening the atmosphere is fantastic. I would recommend spending one night here, to enjoy the relaxation and the vibe of the place.

Kotka is a relatively small town and one can probably walk the entirety of it in about 4 hours. Both the Sapokka Water Garden and Maritime Center Vellamo are absolute wonders and deserve to be visited.
