IrelandGreat hotel in the lovely town of Porlock. We were made to feel right at home on arrival and the rooms were clean and quiet with lovely views. All the staff we met were helpful and friendly. Also great to be able to order a packed lunch for our coastal walk and the breakfast was delicious. Would stay again if I visit Porlock again.

United KingdomThis was my second visit. The hotel is situated right in the centre, near to everything. Free parking, lovely rooms, food is great, breakfast is exceptional. Food is available from the bar area throughout the day. Recommend you book for dinner in the small restaurant, it gets booked quickly. Lovely lounge and bar area. Lots of small thoughtful details. Owners are lovely.

United KingdomI cannot speak highly enough of this wonderful place to stay in the heart of Exmoor. Shabby chic, charming, and expertly run. Andrew had boundless energy and is a font of knowledge and good local tips. The Whiskies are amazing with some rare and vintage gems. A 1970s Bruichladdich is one of the jewels in Andrews liquid crown. My room had a view up the Barle valley which was amazing to lie back at night and stare along. And the walk along there to Exford and Withypool is glorious.
I wish I'd stayed longer. Or just got a job there and remained. Andrew is a natural and his team do him proud.

Lynton and lynmouth are just beautiful places to visit. Plenty of great pubs and places to eat set in a very picturesque environment. Been going to Lynmouth for soooo many years (40 in total) it holds many special memories 🙏🏻 we love the quaintness of Lynmouth, and however busy it gets, it never feels too noisy- love the walks, the coffeeshackbythesea, the Esplanade fish & chip shop, the views, the cliff railway which takes you to Lynton’s shops and cafes. Dulverton is a wonderful small town located in the middle of...
Dulverton is a wonderful small town located in the middle of some beautiful countryside. There are all the shops you need with coffee shops, a fish and chip restaurant/takeaway and more. There are many car parks if you cannot find on street parking. As a solo traveller, I felt completely safe and there are lots of walks around the town to take a stroll with or without a dog. The river runs through Dulverton and there is a small area where you can sit and relax. It is very accessible to the moor and coast although if you are in a larger vehicle/camper-van, the roads are narrower. It can rain - and it did! We booked the accommodation for ourselves and our daughter and son in law. As soon as we arrived the place and area looked wonderful. The accommodation is of a high standard with everything you need and it’s central to areas you would like to visit ie watersmeet, Lynmouth , Minehead. We were not that far away from Exmoor which was lovely to drive through and stop to take photos, seeing the wildlife was the added bonus. Where the accommodation was the Exmoor Inn offered food and drink, plus dogs are welcome. We were there the first night and had a lovely meal, the staff were very attentive and professional. Beautiful location, loved the river and listening to the water at night, plenty of lovely walks, used the cliff railway up to Lynton a bit expensive as cannot purchase return tickets, we travelled easily to many locations, nice shops in lynmouth, but you cannot purchase food essentials, Lynton has 2 shops for food essentials but expensive, we travelled to the supermarket or you can do online saw plenty of delivery vans, eating out in lynmouth advise book in advance .Guest review byDENTON
