- From US$124.77 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.2Good - What previous guests thought, 1,226 reviewsIf you like 70s retro, this is perfect; because it's not retro, it's the real thing. Built in the early 70s, less modernised and more very well maintained, it's kept it's 70s look and feel. The rooms are small, but comfortable and spotless. The staff are friendly & helpful, especially the night porter & driver who arranged transport to the airport for me. They are in the process of updating many of the rooms. I really hope they keep a handful they way they are.Guest review byGrahamSaudi Arabia

Great variety of restaurants throughout the city.
Great variety of restaurants throughout the city. Lots of things to do including museums and concerts. Shopping is first class. Brilliant parks to visit. People are very friendly. Public transport regular and reliable.Guest review byAndrew StuartUnited Kingdom - 4.0
The lobby area was great. Loved the decor!
The lobby area was great. Loved the decor! I loved all the seating areas. Loved the bar and coffee stations. The rooms were bad. The carpeting was taped up with electrical tape. The shower curtain had mold on it. The body wash dispenser was not filled. It was empty. One of the lightbulbs was out. The beds were so hard and uncomfortable. It seemed like the lobby area did not belong to the same hotel as the bedrooms. Did love the convenience of walking to our early flight.Guest review byJosieUnited States - 10

Nothing to do with the location ..but..the bus from Buchanan bus station dropped us off on the outskirts of Balloch on a very busy duel carriageway..which took ages to cross safely..why don't they terminate in Balloch's own bus station...much safer as we had to walk 15 mins to get to our accomodation in rough tarain... I'd hate to think of elderly people having to endure this ... shocked to be honest...nothing to do will The Tillie Inn..maybe something should be changed to prevent this.as it has put me off getting the bus...Guest review byTownsley - 8.0

Good parking and good local facilities - local church, nearby restaurant, and, should you need it, a large supermarket. The room faced the road but there was no road noise whatsoever! Good room decor and clean - but a cheeky spider lurking in the bed gave my wife a fright!Guest review byLESZEKUnited Kingdom - 10

As a Scot I know Drymen well, also Buchanan Castle Estate where I was a member at the golf club. In 1986 we transferred to Australia due to my employer. I am pleased to say that not much has changed since thenGuest review byJamesAustralia - 4.0
The room was very run down.
The room was very run down. Not worth the money I paid for it. If you are looking for a bit of luxury, go elsewhere. The spa is also shut at the moment. Walking to the restaurant for breakfast I saw a lot of water damage in the corridors as well. I think the whole hotel needs a revamp and I wouldn’t recommend a visit.Guest review byAnonymous - 10

It was a lovely wee gem of a hotel and brilliant value for money. Rooms were spacious and clean and comfortable. All the staff I had the pleasure of dealing with very friendly and efficient. They have a huge choice of food, a bar and smoking area and sun garden. As well as restaurant. Brilliant value for money and also easy to park. I didn’t notice much noise at all in the rooms and it was a Saturday night. I will deefinitelt be backGuest review byAnonymous - 10

Scenic, leafy roads, picturesque town, and beautiful UNESCO heritage hotel site. Slightly complicated one way system to get through town to hotel site, fortunately we had google streetviewed in advance! Way out is however much more straightforward. New Lanark Mill museum site well thought out and presented. Hands on opportunities for kids including dress up - think it would be engaging for families. New Lanark Mill One hotel offered an excellent stay. Very restful location with sound of River Clyde gushing along in background along the leafy valley!Guest review byAnnUnited Kingdom
