- From $97.63 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.4Good - What previous guests thought, 824 reviewsThere is an excellent level of service from the moment you check in. The breakfast is also excellent with food served hot and individualised needs met by the member of staff who prepares breakfast. There is a professional level of care throughout the stay and I would highly recommend an overnight stay. The cleaner is also very thorough and ensures hygiene standards are high which is especially important. There are some overused areas but the owners are working hard to renovate areas. Though there is minimal disruption to guests and every effort is made to ensure your stay is comfortable.Guest review byS MultaniUnited Kingdom
- From $131.31 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 6.6Pleasant - What previous guests thought, 415 reviewsWhat a lovely building inside and out with beautiful gardens too. Cheerful, helpful staff. Our room, in the main Manor House, was comfortable and spacious with wonderful views over the town. The wood pannelled bar was comfortable and as we were the only guests for the first night the lovely receptionist served us. Magnificent fireplaces. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Looked like a beautiful place for an event. Really nice to have great service in a proper hotel.Guest review byTaniaUnited Kingdom
- From $153.80 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.8Excellent - What previous guests thought, 1,805 reviewsRoom was a good size, clean, cosy and modern. The shower is convenient in the morning but there was also a bath which is great for a nice soak in the evening. I had both an evening meal and breakfast at the pub and both were excellent. I'm working away from home in Chepstow so also very convenient as avoids any possible disruption from bridge closures.Guest review byClare1404United Kingdom

I went for one night to see a football match, but had a wander round in the afternoon. Saw old ruins of a castle by the river but it looked all shut up and there was no boards stating if it were accessible. Nice new concourse on the riverbank by the millenium bridge, but some parts of the older town near the station are a bit seedy. Plenty of the new breed of town dweller,( foreign, young, male and unemployed)Guest review byJIMUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Lots to do and see for such a small place. Great for walking (as long as you don't mind hills) and the castle is spectacular and well worth a visit. Some excellent real ale pubs and plenty of good cafes too.Guest review byKayUnited Kingdom - 10

The purpose of our visit was to see a show at the Borough Theatre. Hence we only stayed one night. We live in Bristol so Abergavenny is not far. However we decided to stay over and have a meal rather than driving back after the show. The Theatre was good and we would visit again. We had dinner at the Anatolian restaurant which was excellent. I know Turkish food and it was good. We would consider visiting again and staying over to do some walking or seeing the sites.Guest review bySueUnited Kingdom - 8.0

I wish your nighttime staff had more awareness of the vulnerability of their lone female guests, It was clearly missing on my visit. I am 77 and travelling alone. I would have hoped staff would have looked out for my safety - on this occasion I felt they did not. I doubt you will do anything to help the issue but it would be nice if you did, Next time I might find a proper hotel with stafff that care,Guest review byPenelopeUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Usk is a lovely area to visit, and the town is busy with various activities and places to visit. The museum of rural life was fascinating, and our walk by the river calm and peaceful. We didn't get to the castle, but will go there on our next trip. Eateries all good, especially the Italian!!Guest review byMaggieUnited Kingdom - 10

it's a real town, not just a beautiful tourist magnet. we stayed downtown in old lodge above pub-loved how quirky it was. we rested and regrouped in monmouth. took walk in the fields across the river and around town. i enjoyed the bookstores and thrift stores. i was really impressed with the green walls of the public restrooms by the historic bridge which had gorgeous flowers which inspired me to paint.Guest review byAntenenUnited States - 10
