This was the best stay we had during our honeymoon trip to Scotland. Right from the start, we were surprised with a thoughtful and sweet gesture: a beautifully arranged wooden board with sweets waiting for us in our room, which we truly savoured and appreciated. A big shout-out to the amazing Brazilian staff – Caio, Lucas, Marcelo, Peterson, and Millane – who made our experience even more special with their great recommendations and the warm Brazilian hospitality we love. The hotel itself is excellent – very clean, with parking, comfortable rooms, impeccable service, and amazing food. The view is a real highlight: a stunning landscape of the Highlands mountains, including Ben Nevis, right on the edge of the loch.

It was my second time in this hotel and it won't be the last one 😍 this hotel is really incredible, whether it is the beauty of the place (it is really really gorgeous, it looks like palace) or the location which is right next to the train station and the bus station, which is very convenient if you arrive from Edinburgh, because after a long drive you want to be at the hotel quickly, or the kindness of everyone, the receptionists, the people who take care of cleaning, the bartenders, the waiters, everyone is amazing! and of course the rooms which reflect the beauty of the hotel! so beautiful, very clean, comfy and not very noisy for the city center! it's always a pleasure to stay here 😍

We were booked for 2 nights but as soon as we arrived to our chalet we booked another 3 nights! Its like home away home! The chalet is so comfortable, cosy, warm. The whole resort is in a great location as Aviemore is just a wonderful little town. Scenery (for me as a foreigner from a flat country) absolutely gorgeous. Lots to do as a family and the areas roads and viewpoints are a must! Great place for a family holiday!

The location is excellent and the room was clean, it had everything we needed. The parking lot at the back of the hotel was absolutely brilliant as parking our car have been a challenge at other locations. The staff were friendly and the breakfast was good. The shower we had was a little bit on the smaller side but we managed to use it without a problem.

Inverness is one of the best cities in Scotland to visit, it's location allows travel to all Highland tourist areas, with both Bus and Train stations within easy walking distance. The city itself is one of my favorites it is centered along the beautiful river Ness, the town allows easy walking every where, with many restaurants and Pubs near by. The castle is easily seen in many places of the city. Just a beautiful city!

Fort William is a lovely little town with a beautiful Loch, it is a bit touristy for my liking but there are so many wonderful things to do in or near by that it is well worth a stay here. The museum in the town is a treat, Inverlochy castle is a little treasure. The Nevis range cable car is a must, the views at the top are breathtaking and not to be missed. Also nearby is The Glenfinnan monument & viaduct, again absolutely beautiful views & an absolute must. There is more but we had a limited time.

I enjoyed our autumn hikes both close to the lodge and further away in the national park. Fall foliage was gorgeous and great October weather. Our favorite meal in Aviemore was at Delaney's, a nice restaurant on the opposite end of town from the lodge. Though we have a rental car, we walked to restaurants and used the car for short trips to more hiking and to nearby villages. I particularly enjoyed a visit to Nethy Bridge and a charming restaurant, the Nethy House Cafe. If I ever return to the area, I would consider using that town as a base just as an alternative.

Lovely little shops to walk in and out of.

Lovely little shops to walk in and out of. You get to watch the loch in action with the four levels the boats have to go through to get to the next section. This is very interesting and a good place to watch this. There are many walks you can do along the Loch which are very picturesque.

Thurso still feels a generally friendly town.

Thurso still feels a generally friendly town. The Visitors Centre was excellent, very helpful friendly staff, with advice, directions and postcards. The beach is lovely, and the castle very picturesque, though I have no idea if you can go round it as it is on the opposite side of a long inlet and I wasn't about to walk all the way round there on the off-chance. Good amount of shops, and seemingly banks still in the town. YNot offers expensive but good quality food. If you want a walk, or have a car, the Ferry Inn in Scrabster is a great place to eat too.

I found Kyle of Lochalsh really friendly. The hotel I stayed in was amazing and the staff ultra helpful. The cafe I had baked potato, chicken mayo and cheese in was really nice and friendly, the food amazing. The gift shop beginning with O was lovely and I bought a couple of necessities for the rest of my holiday (scarf and beanie). The Islanders pub in the evening was really fun atmosphere and a good mix of locals and tourists.
