- From US$186.26 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.2Superb - What previous guests thought, 174 reviewsArriving at this perfectly situated guest house we were welcomed very warmly by Alison who showed us our huge, bright room and huge ensuite bathroom. You could feel the maritime charme immediately. Alison gave us a very good tip for dinner. Lossiemouth House is a few steps away from a great beach. You can have nice walks enjoying a town that obviously is not discoverd by tourist so much and is therefore still a secret tip. After a very relaxing night Hugh cooked us a perfect breakfast. You can have the full scottish breakfast or a "light bite". Try their delicious porridge, it is an experience for all senses. Alison and Hugh are perfect hosts who are lookking for their guest's needs. They made us immediately feel being welcome and made our short stay excellent.Guest review byMichaelaGermany

The hotel was excellent lovely accommodation, delicious meals. The staff couldn't do enough for us. My husband played golf in Lossiemouth at the Moray Golf Club it was a fabulous course. What a lovely experience. We then visited the famous whisky shop in Elgin and purchased a lovely bottle to take home to the UK.Guest review byMccormack - 10.0
Lossiemouth has fantastic beaches and cliff walks.
Lossiemouth has fantastic beaches and cliff walks. Harbour Lights cafe great for lunches and coffees, Catch 79 restaurant is excellent if more expensive but worth it, booking essential. It’s always wise to check opening times of places if you’re going out of the summer season, even the Deli and bakers as they’re not open all the time.Guest review byFionaUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Aberlour is a beautiful Speyside town in Scotland.
Aberlour is a beautiful Speyside town in Scotland. It's clear people here take pride in the place - very tidy, hanging baskets, no litter etc. Charming to visit. There is plenty to do in the town and the surrounding area. No shortage of distilleries to visit, nice restaurants, pubs, cafes and great hotels. The weather varies greatly by season so come prepared. Lots to do outside - fishing, walking, mountain biking and much more. Heartily recommend it!Guest review byMichaelUnited Kingdom - 8.0

I found it very peaceful area, away from noise of cities. Plenty of beaches around and other interesting attractions. There is a dolphins centre which is great for a family outing. If you are after nature and tranquility but don't want to stay far away from Inverness, it's a good spot.Guest review bySeasonal Traveller - 10.0

The Highlander Inn was just what I needed and by the number of other guests it is a very popular place. It delivers, all that one could wish for. Hospitality, friendliness, good service, food was superb, staff could not have been more helpful. Would recommend to all of my close friends, have already done so now that I am back home.Guest review byAlexandra R - 10.0

Fochabers is a quaint, lovely small town dating from the 18th century. Easy to drive in and find parking. It’s a convenient location to use as a base to visit surrounding historical sites, look for local shops for made in Scotland goods, go to some distilleries or drive to the coast. Beautiful Castle Gordon next to the town, offer tours. First Highland Games of the Season are held on the Castle grounds in May. There are at least four places to stay, Gordon Castle being one. Delightfully diverse dining options; most are an easy walk. Depending on where you stay, dining is also available on site. We stayed at the Red Lion Tavern that offers a fabulous breakfast. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Fochabers. Please consider this lovely village as part of your itinerary.Guest review byChristineUnited States - 10.0

I've been going to Cullen all my life (I'm in my 40s) and adore it. For me, it's about family, and whereas it's been amazing to see it thriving under tourism, I can't help but feel sorry for the locals due to the lack of property available to buy. It's very quiet in Winter. That said, the beach is excellent, and if you like walking there are plenty to do. The ice cream shop is not to be missed, and the few shops there are are quirky in a way you wouldn't get if mass tourism had kicked in.Guest review byCarolineUnited Kingdom - 10.0

International dark sky park and local ski centre. Didn’t have enough time to visit other local attractions like the castle ruins, Jacobite battle sites etc. could spend weeks up here if you’re outdoor people!Guest review bymichael
