Weston has a huge selection of places to eat and drink, and lots of choice for take aways too, if you prefer that. I stayed one night on my way travelling South and two nights on my way back North. On my second visit I toured all the parks and there are some lovely ones, especially Clarence Park which is very disability friendly (I'm on crutches) with a cafe, loads of benches and nice flat asphalt paths and even a public toilet that was clean and in working order. Grove Park is beautiful and includes a scent garden and Jill Dando's garden which is small but lovely. Three things in Weston were disappointing. 1) Having to pay to go on to the pier. 2) Having to pay for half a days parking even if you only want to go for a ten minute walk along the promenade. 3) The disabled toilets along the promenade being locked and shuttered so no chance of even using Radar key. I would have wet myself if a staff member in a shop hadn't taken pity on me and let me use their staff facilities. Would I visit Weston again - definitely but only if I knew the facilities along the promenade were going to be open.Guest review byToveUnited Kingdom - 8.0

I did not meet any staff on either arrival or departure but had previously spoken to the owner on the telephone who was most helpful. I notice you have a lovely photo of a property in Redhill which people might think is Hathway House! A better map based on walking from the airport is required. Loved the rocking chair & custard creams!Guest review byJudyIreland - 8.0
Clevedon is the best place to visit with Family.
Clevedon is the best place to visit with Family. Lots of fun especially at the Grand Pier. Area surrounded by a variety of eating places. We had a meal at Nandos. Easy to get around Clevedon and parking fairly priced with close time at 11pm. Lots of activities for the Children at the Grand Pier.Guest review byChristopherUnited Kingdom - 10

Winscombe is the perfect location for a holiday in the Mendips. The very friendly village has shops of every kind ...including a bakery and a butcher.... and the surrounding countryside ...including Mendip Hills in every direction... is stunning. For more local walks, the course of the old railway line, closed in the 1960s, is perfect.Guest review byRichardUnited Kingdom - 10
Portishead is a very smart town, kept very clean.
Portishead is a very smart town, kept very clean. It has a lovely marina, within easy walking distace of the coast. Enjoy watching the big boats go by at high tide to the docks. Also watchng the smaller boats going in and out of the large lock. It's worth going to the town centre where there is a selection of retaurants. The Indian Empire restaurant in the High Street was excellent. We will visit Portishead again. There is also an excellent bus service to other resorts and Bristol,Guest review byRees - 8.0

Hotel was pretty much as we expected, the staff were very good and the food in the restaurant was very good too. The leisure facilities especially the pool were a lovely bonus. We would have no hesitation to stay here again.Guest review byPaulUnited Kingdom - 10

Thank you Jen and Phil.We are delighted to have discovered Elmdale Shepherds hut it proved to be very welcome break in our journey. Romantic, utterly perfect, beautifully equipped and spotlessly clean; with the essential ingredients provided we enjoyed a much needed cup of tea and later managed a simple supper from our picnic leftovers, (despite near by pubs restaurants and takeaways). Arrow taxis provide reliable early travel to Bristol Airport. Next time we must plan a longer stay.Guest review byPatricia - 2.0

Uncomfortable and disappointing - there is no lift at the premises so luggage has to be carried up stairs, the windows had been left open so our room was cold and felt damp. There was no additional bedding in the room and the switches for the heater had been disabled.Guest review byPamelaUnited Kingdom - 10

Enjoyed a coffee and cake at the coffee station in the village. Would have loved to stay longer and looked at the lake, eat at the local pub and explored the general area more. Beautiful scenery and we were so fortunate with the weather too.Guest review byPhilipUnited Kingdom
