United KingdomPeaceful location, lovely courtyard room with everything needed, including a very comfortable bed. Fantastic breakfast and excellent evening meal on the day we chose to eat there. It was nice staying next to the bar - we could have a drink in the evening without worrying about who was going to drive. We're not golfers, but learned a bit about the sport while we were there! Also was great to be so close to the Nature Reserve and able to walk around Rutland Water.

British Indian Ocean TerritoryOn arrival the staff were very friendly. We'd asked for an early check in, and they pulled out all the stops to have it ready within 10 minutes of arrival.
All staff, whether serving us or not, greeted us and were friendly. We were attending a wedding nearby and so asked if they could order us a taxi and they actually rang round to get us our preferred time.
The room was quaint and comfortable and plenty of room. The bed was super comfy and everything very clean.
We ordered breakfast which was well cooked and very nice.
We enjoyed our stay so much that we promised ourselves that we'd return for a full weekend in Oakham and definitely stay here.

Seaton is a pretty village and the pub and its staff were fantastic! Locals were really friendly too! We ate in the pub during the evening and it was delicious. The full English breakfast was too! Excellent facility in a lovely village. Ambience and food good, staff very pleasant. The location of our accommodation meant we were able to visit several places in Rutland - as well as just on the outskirts - including Stamford, Uppingham, Oakham (and Melton Mowbray on our return home!) Uppingham itself is a small market type town with some interesting independent shops and pubs. The Old Pheasant is very typical of a coach inn, with very modern fixture and fittings. The food (dinner) was excellent and the continental breakfast was very good. The staff were very tentative and extremely useful and helpful, nothing phased them out and nothing was a problem for them.
