The warm welcome to the Full Moon Inn was a wonderful end to our long day of travel. The staff are so friendly and helpful. We enjoyed a delicious dinner seated in the back garden as the sun was setting. Our room upstairs was beautiful, light filled, clean and comfortable. We loved the attention paid to using local products in the room. There is a great area to park next to the Inn that has easy access to the accommodation

A fab stay at this lovely hotel. A warm welcome from the hosts. Room was lovely and very comfortable, spotless and everything in there for a relaxing night's sleep including a decanter of sherry which is a rarerity and very welcome. Breakfast was superb, was able to choose on the previous evening so got everything exactly as I wanted. There was even a sausage cut up for my little dog who was also made very welcome. An added bonus was the car park which makes life much easier than searching for a space in the town centre. Hotel is very central, with many lovely shops nearby and a short walk/drive to the castle and beach. Highly recommended.

Great location, beautiful garden, exceptional service, great food in the restaurant and a surprise with a private garden for our room! Hands down, this was one of the best places we stayed in the UK. WE were apprehensive about parking on a busy market day but actually found it easy to park in a car park close to the centre. The cathedral, Bishop's Palace, the High Street and the market are all convenient and a must on any agenda.

Bridgwater is a sad place.

Bridgwater is a sad place. The river trade, upon which its very existence depends, is gone and Bridgwater is not developing a replacement economy. The few shops still open are quiet, charity shops or selling vapes or other useless trash. A depressing place to visit. I stopped here to find Somerset wicker basket sellers. They've gone online!

A beautiful historic village filled with quirky charm and astonishing views from the tor. It involves a bit of a trip from the train station in castle cary but we'll worth the effort. Bring warm clothes in the shoulder seasons but a much better time to avoid the crowds. A hitorians and hikers paradise.

Minehead has a holiday feel, probably due to Butlins and people looking for something to do other than stay in there. The town is small, the bus service good. The Shops are all there, and banks too. Cafes abound. The steam train trip is expensive. The Dunster castle is better suited to a car visit because the walk up from the bus stop is hard. The nearby village of Watchet is ok for a visit, got a very reasonable cafe and a pleasant walk on the harbour. NOTE- if you go by coach to get to butlins, be prepared for a very cosy trip on the bus!! It was a shock to find that the Nat Exp coach took us to Taunton, then we had to get the bus 28 ( all included in the ticket) from there to butlins. Very crowded on change over day.

Liked · EXCEPTIONALLY PEACEFUL AND CLEAN ACCOMMODATION. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. From the moment we we arrived at Maplestone we were made to feel really welcome. Alan showed us to our room and made us a pot of tea with cake and sat with us in the garden, great service. Alan is an excellent host with a friendly, professional manner with great local knowledge. The accommodation is very comfortable, clean and tastefully decorated. Exceptional breakfast was plentiful and delicious with great choice. The property has a beautiful, quiet garden with tables and chairs to relax in. Would definitely stay again. Well done Alan and thank you for your making us feel so welcome.

So much in so small a town , Clarks Village well worth a visit or two. Excellent food at Tamburinos Italian , and at the other end of the scale also at The Lantokay , with cheap beer as well! Great streets to walk down with lots of interest and feeling quite safe after dark. Glastonbury is just up the road - another world of hippies, incense, organic food, colour and spectacle - very quirky!

I was only passing through and stayed one night just outside Wincanton. I only had time for a short walk round the town but found a lovely independent cafe/delicatessant, 'Clementina', comfortabe with a warm welcome. I had a lovely coffee and almond croissant to warm up, and while in conversation with the ?owner, she only charged for my coffee as a birthday treat!! This was a quiet Sunday morning in early December but would stop off again and be interested to see more of the town.
