The hotel was lovely. Staff were so attentive, welcoming and helpful and were able to give some great recommendations. The room was comfortable and clean and had everything we needed for our stay. Beds and pillows were comfortable as well. The location was great - we were visiting the University, so it was quite close to that, but also walkable to many other things in the city. Breakfast was lovely as well.

Service by the staff was exemplary. The concierge team was excellent and made us feel most comfortable and at home. Despite changes in shift, our requests were always followed through by the different teams. The staff at the breakfast area was very welcoming and helpful. The very tall lady always welcomed us with a cheery good morning and she remembered us and our preferences. We didnt manage to get her name though. Thank you all so much for being so professional yet welcoming, friendly and helpful! 5 stars for all the people that made the experience possible. By the second day, we always looked out for the logo atop the hotel. It is like coming home.

We stayed here for 3 nights over Easter with breakfast and evening meal. Food was amazing. Our room overlooked the Moyola river which was beautiful. We would like to thank Ciaran and his staff for the hospitality shown to us during our stay and also for the attention given to our little dog. The hotel is situated within extensive grounds incorporating a golf course and lakes. Beautiful walks are available. The hotel itself is lovely with some very interesting antique features. All the staff are very well trained and your comfort and happiness appears to be their main ethos. The 5 course dinner in Catalina restaurant was really delicious and a most enjoyable evening. I know some have complained about the length of time it took but to be honest, if i am paying that amount of money for a dinner, i certainly dont want to be rushed. It was fine dining at its best. The waiting staff were extremely efficient, giving detailed descriptions of each dish they served. Breakfast was delicious. The dining room was very well managed and i regret not getting the ladies name who dealt with all the reservations and table allocations. She was extremely efficient and very friendly too. You can eat from the extensive buffet breakfast or you can order breakfast from the menu, which is then cooked to order. The waiting staff were extremely efficient and a recognition for exemplary service goes to Katie who looked after us on both mornings.

Beautiful ambiance that is carried through the hotel from the breakfast area with stunning decorations to the bar with the old rustic feeling all the way to the rooms which are spacious, clean and beautifully furnished. The kind of room you immediately take off your shoes in. The location is excellent with most places for eating and drinking within 5 minutes walking and even the Titanic museum being only 20 minutes away. Very friendly staff and beautiful facilities. This hotel was just such a pleasure to stay at.

I was super impressed by the way the whole hotel is decorated and how it is filled with history in its walls. Breakfast was amazing and the staff was super friendly and nice. Room also super comfortable and I loved that the bathrobe was large enough and it fit me (as a plus size person, usually, I find smaller robes). I would definitely come back!

Newcastle is a typical seaside town, with plenty of facilities, but unfortunately a few years ago it lost it's beautiful sandy beach. Plenty of places to eat, not just fish and chip shops, and a few pubs. Beware of Quinn's on a Saturday night if you don't like loud music. Easy to walk about, though not easy to drive through.

I was so happy the whole time we were there. Pubs, Beaches, Nature, People watching, We were there in the Autumn. It was easy to get parking. I can see that this area would be very popular. Loads of golf around. I am not into that but all the green adds to the beauty of the area.

The little town Camlough we stayed in was really lovely and you can walk around it's shops easily as they are close together. Great variety of places to eat and a large nisa extra convenient store. Being a coffee lover, I never seen as many signs advertising coffee available along our traveling route it was amazing but such a tease as you can't be having coffee pit stops every 5 minutes or my partner would just leave me out by one of the coffee trailers for the whole day by myself lol.
