Staff very attentive, helpful and friendly (Pablo) Beds very comfortable 2x pillows makes sitting up in bed much nicer too. Plenty of table space and seating, so if you wanted to eat in your room, it is practical. Lovely old character building in a fantastic location, minutes walk from all the cafes, shopping, restaurants & pubs that are on offer in Clifton Village & very easy walk to The Clifton Suspension Bridge. All the staff that we have met are helpful, friendly & efficient. A variety of rooms to choose from & a good breakfast if you need it. Parking is also a huge bonus. We will be staying again this week, our 3rd visit in the last couple of months & will always be our first choice on our next visit to Bristol.

When we arrived they were still cleaning our room, we only had to wait for 5 minutes but they offered us a free drink. We had some absolutely amazing beer at the hotel bar. The room was super clean. Big room with a big bed, big bathroom. Absolutely great room, especially for this price. This was definitely one of the best hotels I've ever been to.

We were expecting great facilities and comfort, from the photos and reviews, but they really don’t show how amazing this place is! The lodge was clean, warm and comfortable. Decorated and furnished to such a high standard, with everything you could possibly need and set in such a picturesque location. The hot tub was amazing!

I did not meet any staff on either arrival or departure but had previously spoken to the owner on the telephone who was most helpful. I notice you have a lovely photo of a property in Redhill which people might think is Hathway House! A better map based on walking from the airport is required. Loved the rocking chair & custard creams!

Great stay for 2 families of 2+2.

Great stay for 2 families of 2+2. Very big house, easily accommodating 8 persons. Caroline and Muz were great and helpful hosts. Many amenities. Including but not limited to a hot tub, table tennis, a pool table, a sonos system, TVs in every room and, most importantly, a karaoke kit! The house is their family house so it is furnished as such, to a very high standard. Spacious with great views of Bristol Bay, this house comes highly recommended. Only yards away from the local coastal walk path.

There was nothing much where we stayed in the actual village but a Garden centre was nearby for breakfasts and a local store for snacks and drinks and anything else we needed. We spent the day at a wedding held at Tortworth Court which was absolutely excellent for facilities, gardens, views and services. Very beautiful!

Almondsbury Village is an attractive village with a pub and community shop. The Swan Hotel up the hill, on the by pass road (A38), does good meals. There is a lay by to see the views over the Severn estuary and both bridges from the top of the hill leading down to the village. If you are staying in the hotels on the bypass it's a challenging walk both to cross the dual carriageway and walk up and down the steep hill down to the village.

Visiting mid-week I found the choice of places to eat away from the hotel was not great, some pubs were shut or not serving food and the Hungry Horse has a policy of shutting at 10 pm every day other than weekends - loads of Charity Shops but not much else however the easy access to Bath and Bristol by train make Keynsham a good place to stay if wishing to explore the area.
