The view is stunning. What I really want to write about was the manager Katerina. We got snowed in as the road through the mountain pass had closed. Katerina gave us a discount on an extra night as we quite literally couldn't leave Kazbegi. She called a driver for us so we could get to a store for food and to take us to a restaurant. When we lost our booking for a driver back to Tbilisi because of the road closure, she arranged for her husband to drive us to Tbilisi for less than we would've paid on Gotrip. The road didn't open until 5 pm our last night and she allowed us to hang in the room and didn't charge us for the extra time. To top it off, she messaged me after we returned to Tbilisi just to make sure everything was OK. Fantastic place for skiing holidays. However, you have to have some previous experience skiing or snowboarding; it's not very beginner-friendly. But the views are fantastic, and paragliding options are available as well, so you can enjoy flying. And most importantly, no queues on lifts:) and decent ticket prices. If you're craving solitude, Ardoti it a great place to relax. It is a remote village and a 4x4 vehicle is required to reach it. The Ardoti Guest House is isolated in the best way possible. In hindsight, I would have stayed a day less but that had nothing to do with Kazbegi but the place I stayed. After seeing Rooms Hotel and dining there, I could definitely stay there for a week and enjoy Kazbegi region. Also, if I go again, I'd probably rent a car in Tbilisi and drive there. Roads are OK without snow and the traffic is not bad at all. Spring and early autumn should be really good in Kazbegi. The cabin was nice and clean, and the owner was friendly. It was located in the backyard of their house but still comfortable. There were no windows or anything towards the cabin itself. It's close to the riverside, and you could easily walk there. The rest looked the same as the pictures. There were also some snacks in the mini-fridge, but I believe you have to pay some extra charge for them (we didn't use them, so I'm not sure). upstairs was very hot (we went there in July) but while you were downstairs you could easily use AC.
