Beautiful duplex a few minutes walk from the main beach and village. High quality beds, bathrooms and furniture probably the best rooms on the island with the nicest host, he picks you up on arrival at the ferry and drops you off. Always keen to help. Thanks for a great stay!

Everything about this place is excellent, from the well-equipped rooms with terrace, the beautiful garden, to the friendly staff and the free port transfer. Donousa may be a barefoot, relaxed kind of island, but the owners of this hotel run a tight ship. I can see why so many people come back year after year, and stay for weeks at a time.

The location is fantastic with an amazing view: away from other buildings yet 10 min from the port and the centre of the village. The customer service is exceptional with continuous checking and offer to help well beyond what can be expected: Eirini offered to buy the straps for my postcards as the post office was open only for a few hours a day.

A fantastic little gem right in Stavros. A beautifully designed apartment in Cycladic style. Very new and clean. Nice indirect lights. Small balcony overlooking the tiny street. Very nice host. Thank you very much, Loukas! I can absolutely recommend this place.

    A pretty, small, largely walkable - if you're into hiking - island, with a pleasant port, lovely town-beach, and some great views of the Aegean and nearby islands from various vantage points. The church perched at the highest point of the town is well worth the climb - amazing vistas of the open sea and a great sunset. The mini markets, bakery, bar and restaurants are pricey, as you'd expect on most Greek islands. I particularly liked Ampelaki restaurant, which serves both some traditional Greek dishes and excellent pasta; great views of the harbour from its terrace.

    Great golden sand beaches (including the port beach and nearby Kedros) and good, sometimes challenging, hiking routes. Quiet in September and rather windy. Little choice of restaurants and limited, expensive mini markets.

    Beautiful little island, unspoiled original Greece. 110 permanent inhabitants, 350 cats, a donkey, some wild goats and fortunately not too many tourists. No need for a car (there is no petrol station). There is a taxi and minibus service and a fishing boat to get to various beaches. No organized beaches so water, food and a beach umbrella are definitely recommended.
