Pheia might have been our favourite stay in Greece. The hotel is family owned and though expanding, is still not too large. The owner is really helpful and attentive. The rooms are stylish, the location right on the coast is perfect (with a sunset view) and fitness room and pool were great. Easy to reach Olympia (30 min drive). Only drawback was the price of the dinner, but it was a really good dinner.

From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed like family. The building itself is full of old-world charm — traditional architecture, beautiful details, and a cozy, timeless atmosphere that makes you feel immediately at home. Our room was spotless, comfortable, and quiet, with a balcony overlooking the picturesque village and lush mountains. Waking up to the sound of birds and the fresh scent of the forest was a true reset from city life. Location-wise, it’s perfect for exploring the area: close to the Temple of Apollo Epicurius, beautiful hiking trails, and local tavernas where time seems to stand still. If you’re tired of generic hotels and want a genuine experience full of warmth, tradition, don’t think twice — Theoxenia is a rare find. We can’t wait to go there again.

    Wow, everything was fantastic. Great location, beautiful beach, fantastic views. There are clean swimming everywhere and the gardens are spectacular. Also the buffet was plenty and delicious. Great sunset place😃👌 Because the hotel is so large, we probably wouldn't go there in peak season but this time of the year it was perfect 👍

    Go when not so crowded or hot. We did well at end of September. I highly recommend if you have a car to do a free Olive Oil tour & tasting at OILYPIAN Koufolias Olive Oil Mill about 15 min away from town. I also loved OLYBEEA for family run local honey which you may sample before you buy! Have a meal up the hill (you can walk but best with car) at The Garden :) You will dine under olive trees & get a great view. Try to eat around sunset for a treat!

    We were on a "pilgrammage" of sorts intended to seek out our familial origins and were travelling by a rented vehicle from Eurocar which we picked up at the Athens Airport. This was a major winner for us! Take your GPS with you and enjoy the encredibly well organized motor ways that would best be described as excellent in every way. Kyllini was easy to find just off the West Coast and in good striking distance for other sites. It is a port city, really, with Ferry traffic to the Islands which could have made it noisy and unpleasant. However, such was not the case with super restaurant facilities and the Greek Pastries in the local shops were simply scrumptious. Have fun!

    see previous comments. Arkoudi is a lovely village, great beach and tavernas. Only comment is that you need to have a car because there are no buses to enable exploration further afield and taxis can be expensive. However we really enjoyed our stay

    Zacharo is really, really Greek and there seemed to be absolutely nothing happening. I figure you have three alternatives to fill your time: swim or stare at the sea during the day, sit at a cafe and gossip at night, or get through War & Peace.

    Great location, if you have a car, to get to Olympia. Lovely town square with great selection of restaurants to eat at - mainly Italian themed as opposed to Greek. Beaches are not well advertised as to where to park near to them. Suggest 2 day stay - one day Olympia and one day beach.

    Katakolon is the main port for cruise liners where guests are visiting Olympia and seems geared up largely for this purpose. It is quite a pleasant seaside town but nothing exceptional. When we were there there were no cruise ships in port and it was very quiet. All of the seafront restaurants and bars were open so we had our pick, but a lot of the shops were close for most of the time we were there. Olympia is about a 30 minute drive from here.

    Arkudi is a small calm village on the sea and has everything needed for a nice holidays. Nature around is beautiful, beaches are sandy with clean water. Food is very good. Prices are normal. Recomended!

    Zakharo is a small town near Kakovatos the little village where the Ostria Hotel Beach is located indeed. Zakharo is fantastic. The town's activity is between a beach town with restaurants, cafés, stores and an agricultural town with a lot of trucks and tractors crossing by. The bus station is not far from the center. I also walked on the Beach until the Ostria Hotel. It is quite a long walk. There are a few restaurants, the sunset is amazing.
