What a fabulous hotel. from the first friendly greeting to the last farewell, Nicoletta & her staff ensured that our stay was comfortable and relaxing. The hotel is tastefully decorated in white & grey and is kept spotlessly clean. Our bed was very comfortable. The shower was excellent. beach towels are provided. We used the laundry service at the end of our week; good value & efficient. The pièce de resistance has to be the homemade feast that is the breakfast. Combine that with stunning sea views on a very friendly island and we had a perfect week in Hotel Grotta.

Probably one of my favourite stays. Everything about the hotel was perfect. Gorgeous room (we were kindly upgraded to a stunning room with a sea view and private outdoor hot tub). The pool area was perfect with a stunning sea view and the most incredible sunsets. Not to mention the spectacular private beach. Delicious breakfast served with a large selection, with new treats on rotation daily. The lunch and dinner menu was beyond what you’d expect from average hotel food at very reasonable prices (even for alcoholic beverages). The chef was incredible! But what really tops this place off is the staff - everyone from the hotel manager to the bar & restaurant staff were so kind and attentive. Such lovely people who are devoted to making sure you have the most pleasant stay. You’ll come as strangers and leave as friends. There is just something so magical about this place, it really does bring people together, including other guests. Never been to Naxos before and randomly chose this island on a whim. But will definitely be returning especially for another stay at Akre. Thank you so much 😊

Everything! Beautiful, functional room, great breakfast choice, excellent bar food, very kind and professional staff, always ready to help, fantastic swimming pool, marvellous beach. The location is excellent–seconds from the beach, and minutes by foot to more than 20 restaurants. Definitely worth recommending!

Mirabelle was a fantastic place to stay! So clean and well kept, the villa itself had everything we needed, the kids loved the pool and there were so many little details to make our stay fantastic …the best of which is the hand delivered breakfast basket every morning with an amazing selection of local products. I have to echo many of the reviews here and highlight what exceptional hosts Vicky and the Mirabelle team are. We have travelled to many resorts, hotels and accommodations in many different countries and we have never felt so well looked after. Vicky shows so much genuine thought and care for her guests that makes the stay in Mirabelle so special. Thank you Vicky and everyone at Mirabelle - we’ll be back soon!

We loved our stay at Nature suites. The family are so friendly and we wouldn’t hesitate to come back. The cleanliness of our apartment was amazing and the location was outstanding. Loved it all. Next time though I am definitely going for the hot tub room.

Travel Back in Time

Known for its crystal clear azure waters and impressive winds, the beautiful tourist destination of Naxos is the largest and greenest island of the Cyclades. This unique place is a popular choice with watersports and history lovers.

Composed of Venetian and Cycladic elements, the traditional old town of Naxos (also known as Chora) has an imposing Venetian castle. Built in the 6th century BC and dedicated to Apollo, the iconic marble gate of Portara is located just outside the town, overlooking the Aegean Sea.

Rich in history, folkloric tradition and fine wine, the mountain village of Apeiranthos with its marble houses is one of the biggest villages of the island.     We had the most wonderful stay at Seven Suites and would give this 6 stars if we could! From the minute we arrived, we felt welcome by Barbora who gave us recommendations for beaches, restaurants and must-see attractions around Naxos. The room was so lovely and clean with a private jacuzzi which felt like a luxury. Our hosts served us a homemade breakfast each morning which was a real treat with different Greek specialities each day. Most of all, Barbora, George and Korinne were the most wonderful hosts. Very friendly, welcoming and always happy to help us - be it organising a rental car or booking us fabulous tables with sunset views at restaurants in the area. We have such fond memories of our stay at Seven Suites and would love to return in the future!

    The entire hotel is beautiful and charming, build in a peaceful area of Naxos. The view of Agios Prokopios is amazing. Everything in Lianos Village sounds like peace, even the name of one of the staff member, Irene. Irene was very kind and full of attention, she even got us a room for three hours on our departure day, because it was raining ! We are a couple travelling a lot, and can tell that you will never find a hotel with this kind of attention for their guests. If we get the chance to travel again in Naxos , we will for sure stay at Lianos Village !

    The people in Naxos were all so kind and thoughtful. The town felt very authentic. The food was delicious. The island had many charming places , but was difficult to navigate. GPS often took you off main roads and into areas difficult to drive and easy to get lost.

    Relaxing town on the coast of Naxos, good restaurants close by, all walkable. Plenty of options for beach bars and sun loungers. Definitely quiet in the off season and everything starts to close from the start of October. Not easy to get to and from the port if you don't hire a car (bus not super reliable, 20 Euros for a taxi but some try to charge more). This isn't a problem if you just want to rest by the beach for the week but probably more ideal for those looking to hire a car and explore the island as well.

    I recommend hiring a quad bike to explore more beaches and the inland areas. This location is very good for if you have a quad bike as you can travel between the old town and the beaches along the coast on the other side, as well as inland. Quad hire is very reasonably priced and the company we used is very nearby. This is a lovely peaceful area. Groceries are a little expensive and there is a bigger supermarket than the one on the corner that has some more options. There are many lovely restaurants a very short walk from the accommodation, along the beach. A few have seating on the actual sand which is really special and romantic for couples.

    Stelida is a purpose built hilltop penninsula for accomodation and walking distance to a lovely beach if the north wind is not blowing. Only two restaurant options to walk to at night but it has easy access to hill towns and beaches to the south by car. It's out of the hectic vibes of Naxos Town and very quiet at night so a good night sleep is ensured!

    Mikri Vigla is a quiet town with a couple bakeries and restaurants. Beautiful sunsets and beaches, but you should have a car / moped to get around. The bus from Naxos Chora is infrequent and drops off at the beach, not the town proper.

    We liked the premises and quiet sandy beach. There is free parking on premise and some very good restaurants nearby. Make sure that when you get the sea view room, you ask for the direct and not the side views room.

    Vivlos is conveniently located about ten minutes from Naxos Town and roughly the same to local beaches. There are four or five local taverna's selling simple, good value, Greek food. The bakery is excellent and there is also a small supermarket and butchers. It's a good base from which to explore the island with walking trails marked out from there

    Hotel was difficult to find. It didn't show on Google maps. Eventually found out about 100 meters north out of town where one market is directly across the street from another market. The market on the right out of town essentially checks you in.

    Lovely and lively port with plenty of bars and restaurants Beach was beautiful with easy access to the sea and good quality beach bars and restaurants at a reasonable price but sun beds are all overpriced at 45 euros.
