This is a small property of 11 rooms. Extremely clean and well maintained. Petra and Kosta are the owners and attentive. Sotiris is a manager and also very attentive and polite. The staff at breakfast were two of the nicest women. The property is maintained constantly, even with small paint touchups. The rooms were spotless and I am very picky. The views of Grikos and the water each day are beautiful. The pool has towels and lounge chairs. Their are even wireless buzzers on the pool tables in case you want to order a drink or snack. So much detail and thought has been put into this property. Breakfast was different each day. Lovely choices and freshly made food. You sit at the top eating breakfast overlooking the water. The rooms are quite spacious and equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay, and the breakfast is comprehensive with many options and coffee made to order. Nice touches like bringing by water bottles to your room at night, since you are a bit removed from shops etc. You can also walk to several restaurants nearby for dinner if you don't have a car. Skala has a lovely central area with restaurants and shops, and is pleasant to wander around. It is convenient so close to the ferry port. It was easy to hire a car and there were large public parking areas. You need one if you wish to visit beaches. Psili Ammos in the south is worth the half hour hike in for its fabulous sandy beach with a good taverna. But there were no beaches within walking distance of Skala. St John’s monastery is certainly worth the visit. We jumped on a ferry to Lipsi island for a great day trip.Guest review byJanAustralia - 8.0

Patmos is a beautiful and busy place. The town of Skala is great for shopping and walking. There are lovely beaches around the island, which can be reached by boat or car, but they are well worth the effort. A visit to the monastery and the town of Chora, with its many restaurants, shops, and great views, is also a must. Skala is delightful, but Patmos overall is incredible.
Skala is delightful, but Patmos overall is incredible. We visited the beautiful village of Chora, the monastery of St John, the windmills, and the spiritual cave of the Apocolypse, where John wrote the book of Revelation in the Bible. All was achieved in one day by taxi from Skala. The entire trip was from the island of Kos by ferry, with a 2 night stay in Skala. Well worth it. Wonderful !! Lovely island. Great central location if in Skala. Recommend e-bikes to get around on quiet roads on September. Chora lovely - Loza is one of the best restaurants we have ever experienced in Greece - amazing tastes, and views . Petra Beach is fantastic!
