We had a balcony overlooking the port which was a wonderful place to enjoy an evening drink. We really enjoyed the convenience of the buffet dinner and breakfast at the hotel restaurant. Dubrovnik is a wonderful city to visit but can get very busy. Early morning and late afternoon are the best times to visit the main sites if you want to avoid the tour groups. Very nice town with great restaurants and bars overlooking the harbour. Only 7 mins taxi ride from Dubrovnik airport. Boat rides into Dubrovnik take around 50 mins, local bus takes about the same time. Nice places within easy walking distance for a swim in the sea. Šibenik is a very beautiful place. I came there mainly for the Ship Festival, so my stay was also full of interesting music. That's why I didn't have much time to see the sights. We used Mlini for a night before flying out of Dubrovnik Airport. We started our Croatia holiday in Split, then did a Bike and Boat through the islands, ending up in Dubrovnik. Seeing how far Dubrovnik is from the airport, I sought closer accommodations, and it was a quick 10 minutes in the early morning when our driver picked us up at 5:40 a.m. After being there, for one day, I wish I could have spent several days there just relaxing!Guest review byBarbaraUnited States - 10

Lovely and very interesting island with amazing beaches nearby, great biking opportunities, historic places to visit, wonderful restaurants, friendly people and amazing sites around every bend. We stayed in the old town, in a building built around 1400, and explored from there.
