My stay at this hotel was beyond expectations, as the overall experience was excellent. The place is very clean, well-maintained, and provides a very good standard of comfort. While the location is ok and convenient enough, the quality of service and the atmosphere more than make up for it. I would highly recommend this hotel to everyone seeking a pleasant and reliable stay.     Wonderful stay from start to finish. Friendly staff, amazing location with many stalls , restaurants and bars nearby. The beach at the doorstep is lovely and quite enough when comparing to others nearby. Boat trips are a 5 minute walk away as are jet ski/paddle board rentals etc. The food was great with the menu changing daily with options for every taste. A really great family location too - plenty of playgrounds & other things for kids to do on the area. The beds were super comfy and the doors didn’t seem to slam leading to a wonderful night‘s sleep which isn’t usually the case at other hotels. We made fond memories for life and would recommend this stay to anyone.

    I was pleasantly surprised with amazing customer service! Staff is always helpful and smiling. Food is delicious with reasonable prices and rich breakfast. Pool is super clean and view from the pool is amazing! There is also a beach just few meters away or you can get a cab to Šimuni beach 15 min away and enjoy some activities, or take a nice 10 min walk to the city where they have plenty of restaurants and public beach. We will definitely come back again!

    Novalja is amazing.

    Novalja is amazing. Sure, it’s full of people in the high season since the famous Zrce Beach is nearby, but I’ll definitely come back next year. Not just for the beautiful sea and beaches, but also because we never had a chance to be bored.

    The owner was very kind and accommodating.

    The owner was very kind and accommodating. The location was a peaceful and convenient place to stay. We ate at the public beach area which we walked to in under 10 minutes. We walked around the marina after dinner and that was a lovely family walk. Would recommend to others.

    Povljana is growing too fast.

    Povljana is growing too fast. The rapid construction of unsightly apartment buildings threatens the original charm of this peaceful coastal village and slowly pushes it toward the fate of overcrowded resorts like Makarska. For now, the situation is still bearable – but it feels like a tipping point is approaching. One can only hope that local authorities and residents will act before the soul of the place is lost for good.

    Good: - beautiful beaches in the area

    Good: - beautiful beaches in the area - several markets, no need to travel anywhere during the stay - beautiful walking/running trail called 'Life on Mars'. Not good: - near Slana bay there was a concentration camp in the past which is not commemorated in a good way; one have to find the info by their own - I think most of the people are not aware in what kind of area they spend vacation.

    The location is fabulous.

    The location is fabulous. The sea is clean and full with sea life. There are at least 3-4 restaurants in Mandre, two grocery shops and 2-3 bakeries. There is a cheese shop about 3 km away in Kolan, that has a lot of tasty local specialties.

    It’s a fairly remote village, but it’s full of life and really gorgeous. There is a little market where you can buy mostly vegetables, some olive oil stands, but the nearest shop is a 20 min drive away. The olive gardens are really beautiful, you can find nice spots along the trail!

    Beautiful view, very friendly owners who took us on a boat trip, cosy and clean villa is equipped with all the stuff you need e.g. washing machine, dishwasher, table tennis, nicely decorated. Highly recommended.

    This is a quiet place very good for families with kids.

    This is a quiet place very good for families with kids. There are not that many restaurants around. There is a bakery and a small grocery shop. Most of the beaches are for the accommodated guests but there is also one large beach Planjka at the entrance to the village. There are very nice beaches available within 15mins by car - Plaza Jadra and Cista Plaza.

    The location is wonderfully peaceful, yet offers plenty of restaurants, a shop, and everything you might need for a comfortable holiday. The highlight is without a doubt the large pebble beach with its crystal-clear sea – truly exceptional. Šimuni also has a charming harbor with several restaurants, and it even offers the possibility to swim there if the waves at the main beach are too strong. Having explored the entire island, I can say that this is one of the most beautiful spots for anyone seeking peace and relaxation.

    Novalja peaks during summer for the festival season, with Zrce Beach nearby. However, it's a cute small town with its own little charm, I would definitely come at a less busy time (that being said, even during festival season it didn't feel crowded at all), and do some driving to nearby spots on the island. Driving is definitely preferred in Croatia in general (just be aware of limited parking and teeny two way streets), but you can arrive by bus to Novalja too.
