I moved from another hotel in Binging because even this one is a little bit “outside” of main area, that is in fact a GOOD thing. Currently in Uluwatu are many construction in the area of Bingin and is impossible to relax by the pool. I was thinking it was a good idea as I could walk everywhere but is super dangerous with bikes going up the tiny or non existing pathways. So in Onaya they drive you with the Free Shuttle and help you renting a motorbike if needed. And most of the most important spots are 5-10 min driving. Also they book you the spa, dinners 🫣 bring you food to the pool just by texting in the WhatsApp group, super easy peasy and convenient, we felt like anywhere we stayed before. We will be back for sure

Our stay at The Room Padang Padang was truly wonderful! The location is excellent, just a short walk from the beautiful beach, making it perfect for surfers and beach lovers. The hotel is well-organized and functional, offering everything needed for a comfortable stay. The staff is outstanding—professional, friendly, and attentive. A special mention to Daniel, who was particularly helpful, but honestly, everyone we encountered was exceptional. From check-in to check-out, the service was flawless, with great attention to detail. Our room was lovely—not very large, but perfectly designed to ensure a comfortable stay, with a good bed, private balcony, and excellent cleanliness. Breakfast was amazing, with fresh fruit, eggs prepared in different styles, pancakes, fresh juices, and great coffee—a perfect way to start the day! Overall, we had a fantastic experience and would highly recommend The Room Padang Padang to anyone visiting the area. We will definitely be back!

My stay at The Soko was just perfect. The hotel is very new and very well set, starting from the marvellous Balinese roof that cover the Lobby and dining area: beside beauty, it offer an optimal climate also for working, as I had to do during my stay. The pool is just fantastic with its dark grey tones and its lengths which invite pleasant dives. The graden is also very well kept daily offering a very pleasant environment. My room, pool level with private terrace was just perfect. Very private inside, but also offering immediate jump to the main pool and garden. The design is very sleek and it makes your stay a pleasure. The restaurant offer a very good breakfast, and also a la carte menu along all day until dinner. Last but not least, I would like to thank all the staff, and particularly Eka, Citra and Joni, for their professionalism and kindness which make you fell always welcome. ps the large safebox in the room host easily a big pc together with your valuable (very well thought!). In my next trip to Bali, the Soko will be my first choice.

Absolutely Exceptional Stay From the moment we arrived, everything about this hotel exceeded our expectations. The staff were incredibly welcoming, kind, and attentive always smiling and ready to help with anything we needed. Every interaction felt personal and genuine, making us feel truly cared for. The service was flawless from the front desk to housekeeping, room service, and even the spa team, everyone was professional yet warm. The rooms were spotless and beautifully maintained, and every detail was thoughtfully taken care of. What stood out the most was the hospitality. The team went above and beyond to ensure our comfort, often anticipating our needs before we even asked. Whether it was arranging transport, customizing meals, or simply checking in on how we were enjoying our stay they made us feel like VIPs. It was truly one of the best hotel experiences we've ever had. We’re already planning our return. Highly, highly recommended!

We stayed here for a friends wedding for the one night and as such didn’t have the time to use all of the facilities on offer at the resort however one thing we hugely enjoyed was our private floating breakfast in the OneEighty sky pool - book this if you can!

Uluwatu is certainly the tourist destination for fitness and wellness lovers, or those that love the coast. The locals are extremely welcoming, and whilst I don't necessarily recommend it, you can travel most of it on foot compared to the rest of the island. The businesses are a lot more westernised and is a great first stop for your Bali trip experience.

Great hotel in the middle of some lovely restaurants.

Great hotel in the middle of some lovely restaurants. Rooms are tired in need of upgrades and painting , but were clean and a very powerful shower. Staff were amazing and a good buffet breakfast with fresh omelette/pancakes. Pool area was relaxing and could do with a few more sunbeds. Didn’t get to the beach but a good shuttle service available. Supermarket and ATM just across the road.

Jimbaran is a good place to spend the last days of your trip...

Jimbaran is a good place to spend the last days of your trip — it’s close to the airport and convenient for departure. I especially like the Sidewalk Shopping Centre, where you can find Western food, good coffee, and food giftsto take home. The fish market is also a highlight — it’s the only place where I trust eating local oysters, always fresh. The beach itself isn’t crystal clear like Melasti, but it’s clean and free from rubbish, unlike Seminyak or Canggu. For those who want to see a different, more local side of Bali, Jimbaran is a great choice. Just be careful when choosing accommodation — pick something near the beach and away from the main road, so you can walk easily and avoid the heavy traffic.

Fantastic culture, some great places to go in the middle,...

Fantastic culture, some great places to go in the middle, and North of the Island. I spent a week in Ubud, then a week on the South coast. I could have spent 2 weeks in Ubud, and based most of my travels from there. Beaches in the South are something else, great surf, etc. Things to note which you may not expect. Traffic is mental. Most roads are bad, poorly surfaced, narrow and congested. Most people get around by scooter, which is fine, but be prepared for the fumes if you're doing more than a pop-to-the-shops on one. And the endless 'sell'. I was taking my own picture at a restaurant and was told I would have to pay for it (Rice Terraces) They aren't all like that, don't get me wrong, but they will push it. Fun can be had with haggling, Rule of thumb, offer half their asking price, then work back from there. Be prepared to be followed down the street if you don't buy it. Food is amazing. Try the local dishes, so much better than the same dishes back home. And why would you fly half way round the world to have fish & chips in a different country? And, getting there. Get your visa before going, they have 40-ish automated passport gates, which you can use if you have a digital passport. Use the Gojek App for taxi, or even food and other things whilst you're there (Like Uber).

Uluwatu is a great area in general and recently has evolved into quite more of not just a surf point but also a gastronomic and fashion center of Bali's top towns. A great place to come and take a vacation, all of the beaches are great and the great thing is that there's something for everyone.

I recommend taking the shortcut on foot from the accommodation – turn left onto the main road, then immediately left again down a narrow alley. This will take you straight to the cafés, restaurants, shops, and spas. Be sure to visit Kelly's Warung at Bingin Beach, try a Pilates class at Fondue Studio, and enjoy dinner at Casa Asia.

Uluwatu is much more expensive and luxury compared to the rest of Bali. The place is under a massive construction renovation, there are construction site everywhere so it will be very different in a couple of years. We enjoyed our 4 days there but there is definetly less activities except for luxurious cliff restaurant and beach clubs.

Nusa dua was too isolated for family fun with young kids . We had divided our stay in Symniak and nusa but nusa was too far for evening life , food and fun activities for kids . We enjoyed Kuta and symniak area far more with lots to do for kids .

Jimbaran is very laid back and traffic is not bad by Bali standards. We thoroughly enjoyed the beach and spent most of our time there. We did have a family dinner on the beach at sunset and that was a great experience. We also had a fantastic dinner at an Indian restaurant near the beach. I can’t wait to visit jimbaran again with my grandson and learn to surf!

Lots of cafes/restaurants in the area plus boutiques. Cashew tree cafe is amazing! Plus Seed cafe which also has a market attached to it. Handy to have a moped to get around but take care if you do.
