Very modern hostel in a great location! The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. The self check in was no problem at all. I was even able to borrow a towel because I forgot mine. I'd highly recommend staying here if you want to explore west cork.

The best of the best. I was there first time and definitely not the last time. Cozy with amazing breakfast. B&B in hotel quality (I think that some **** hotels should take this b&b as an idol).

The cottage was great, it is out of the way - the nearest town Castletownbere is a few minutes drive away and there is a supermarket, restaurants... but the peace and quiet is wonderful, we had daily visits from pheasants in the courtyard. The cottage is excellently equipped, the rooms large, everything very clean - the landlord even provided us with fresh fruit and wood for the fireplace and there was also food in the fridge. There was only one problem, we had booked 2 bedrooms (which was confirmed) but the landlord had received confirmation from Booking for 1 bedroom. However, Declan responded immediately to our message and he then unlocked a 2nd bedroom for us. However, it was definitely not the landlord's fault, the error was with Booking.com - Declan responded promptly as described and was very nice. I can recommend the accommodation with full conviction.

Absolutely immaculate accommodation with lots of space and very friendly and helpful management. Well over and beyond the call of duty I'd say. Arrived late but it was no problem. Left to our own devices on the whole with advice on trips when needed. EXCELLENT.

Denis personally reconnected my wife and I to our cousins, who we have not met before. Without Denis's willingness to show us where they live and introducing us, we would never have met them if it wasn't for Denis.

Good location, short drive into both Bantry & Glengariff.

Good location, short drive into both Bantry & Glengariff. Beautiful ocean views and saw many rainbows from the property. Excellent breakfast. Mo's hospitality was over the top in every way. Advised us of places to see off the beaten path. Gave us great dining recommendations in both Glengariff & Bantry. We had already been in Ireland for a couple weeks so we a wanted a bit more of a relaxed itinerary so we explored Garnish island, Beara Peninsula, & Gougane Barra monastery. We thoroughly enjoyed our time visiting with Mo. Hope to return again some day real soon.

Harbour view stay made us very comfortable and welcome. The restaurants were very pleasant and the surrounding area a must to see with Dunboy Castle and Puxley Mansion. The copper mines and museum 20 mins away is a must. Short or long stay it can provide all you desire. But do make sure to visit Mac Carthy’s Bar. A great relaxing evening is assured.

Our 3 night stay at Mossies was the highlight of our holiday in Ireland. Felt like home away from home. Every detail was carefully crafted by Matti and Vanessa to ensure we had a good stay. Sitting outside around a fire pit on a clear calm evening was a wonderful treat. We wish we lived closer!

Silence, natural beauty, if you want to really get away and enjoy simplicity and nature, this is the place for you. Have to travel a few kilometres for restaurants and bars but this is a good thing, because it means you will rarely meet many cars or people.

The village is small but the access to all the Beara peninsula has to offer is great. We visited Dursey via cable car and that was a wonderful experience. The Beara Necessities cafe had delicious food!

Allihies is a lovely colourful little town with brightly coloured houses, a shop and pubs. The scenery is spectacular with a beach and stunning mountains where an old copper mine can be found. Great food in O’Neill’s pub and a smart coffee shop in the Copper mines museum.

A good location to explore Beara Penisula.

A good location to explore Beara Penisula. Close enough to Kenmare for shopping, but also close to some key attractions like Eyeries, gardens, Dursey or Bere island (all within 20 to 40min drive). Weather is predictable i.e. it will be drizzle during your stay there. When its nice, it is great, but that is not the case 8 of of 10 days. However driving a bit to the west, or to the south, where key attractions are anyway, usually clears the sky. Some roads are very very narrow, but there is not too much traffic way less then in ring of Kerry, Dingle or West Cork.

First Class - excellent staff throughout the Hotel - highly professional and friendly with it. Main dining room has to be experienced - attendance is an event in itself. Lovely food served in a timely way. Waiting staff are great to watch at work and they do what they do in a quiet but showy way. Lovely to sit in the hall and enjoy the two log fires and the comfy arm-chairs. A relaxing stay at a lovely hotel in a great location. Old fashioned but we like it that way - no squeaky floorboards - calm and quiet.

Lovely escape to a bit of peace and tranquility.

Lovely escape to a bit of peace and tranquility. There is plenty to do in the area - hikes, Dursley cable car, Bear Island - but equally lovely to enjoy relaxing in a pub or playing scrabble in front of a fire. The people are very friendly and the restaurants are fantastic- wonderful food and great atmosphere. Highly recommended if you want to go off grid and relax.

The accommodation was second to none and we loved the Wild Atlantic Bar for food. Close to Glengarriff Dursey Beara and SheepsHead. Also hosts recommended Dunneen gardens and a swim in a local cove. All were exactly to suit us. The peacefulness of the gardens at Mossies and views were outstanding. Will definitely be back and have recommended it.
