PhilippinesWhat a hidden treasure of a hotel! The breakfast alone was amazing!! Hot buffet with thick bacon sausage and eggs! Also had a seperate buffet with kiwi, apples, toast, & cereal. Great coffee and great value!
They also have a shuttle from the ferry to the hotel which was nice since the hotel is a 10 minute walk from the terminal!

JordanBartley & Marion are excellent hosts. We greatly enjoyed our stay here, with comfortable beds, a clean room, a quiet house and showers with pressure (exceptional enough in Ireland, so we think it needs to be highlighted!).
Breakfast is included and generous. Bartley is very kind and made us feel right at home. We warmly recommand this lovely place.

CanadaIt's located near some stunning sites. And any from the busyness of Kilronan and the daytrippers. Very peaceful and close to nature and history. We rented sturdy mountain bikes and did lots of riding on some rough rocks...tires held up!

We had great expectations for the island but they were surpassed by the wonderful accomodation. And the nice staff and kindness and sage of Penny´s advice, really great. Such a beautiful island.
Such a beautiful island. Peace, nature, wildlife, beautiful hand knitted aran jumpers in the shops, good food and friendly local people. There are horses and carts that will take you round the island. What a way to travel! Loved my time there.Guest review byJacquelineSlovenia - 8.0

Excellent property and fantastic hosts. Great communication when I had an email query. Lovely extras like milk and bread in the fridge when we arrived. Absolutely spotless property and very well equipped. The bathrooms were lovely and there was plenty hot water. Lots of space, it's a huge house! Plenty entertaining space. Cute little town - convenient to the ferry. Lovely scenery. Great if you hike or bike(unless it’s raining, which it was for us). Pub food is about the only option, it’s a little elevated at the Hotel. We took the hop on bus, only two stops, not a tour - the driver didn’t say much. The island is absolutely isolated.
The island is absolutely isolated. Only transportation is bicycles. Most tourists arrive on the morning ferry and leave on the evening ferry so when you stay overnight, it is very, very quiet and isolated. We really loved that part of it! “Guest review byDavidUnited States - 10.0

Outside the town is more interesting than inside.
Outside the town is more interesting than inside. But avoid the minibus tours. Our driver, John, spent five frickin' hours driving around trying to find more passengers, during which time he showed us only two of the sights. He also spent some of the time essentially providing a taxi service, and treated his taxi customers with much more consideration than his tour passengers. There is lots to see and do on the island.
There is lots to see and do on the island. Lots of history and prehistoric monuments. If you are into live music, there's no shortage of that. The Islanders we met were kind and welcoming. We have dietary restrictions, but we're still able to find decent food to eat. There are some spectacular views, and Poll na bPéist in particular is definitely worth a visit.Guest review bySiobhánIreland
