- From $139.13 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.5Very Good - What previous guests thought, 837 reviewsBellinter House is wonderful on so many levels. It’s dog friendly, has a great restaurant and a beautiful location. It’s the staff though that make it. They are so lovely, kind and considerate. Nothing is too much trouble. My mother is in a wheelchair and I brought our dog and they were so helpful, it made us feel really welcome. The 18th century stately home is surrounded by parkland and has been stylishly restored as a boutique hotel and spa. The decor is imaginative and tasteful yet Bellinter still has a homely feel with a welcoming fire in the reception and drawing room. The library, drawing room and bar are all gorgeous. It’s very photogenic, and it’s not a surprise it’s popular for weddings. The bedrooms are lovely too, spacious with lots of facilities, including an excellent nespresso machine. My niece stayed in a deluxe room near the treatment rooms and it was a knockout with a large copper bath and two windows overlooking the garden. Our room in the stables was really comfortable and stylish too. When I mentioned it was difficult to navigate the gravel with the wheelchair they bent over backwards to make it all work for us. We couldn’t access the restaurant but the bar menu in the drawing room was great and very reasonable. There is a beautiful library for afternoon tea. There was also a large wedding party there at the same time. But we barely noticed them as the hotel has such efficient service and so many nooks and crannies. Without exception all the staff were amazing, particularly Kevin the new leisure manager. Also Eimear, Shirley, Geraldine, Judith, the new food and beverage manager and Denise the general manager. All the others too whose names I didn’t catch! It’s also conveniently situated just over half an hour from Dublin airport and close to the Hill of Tara, Newgrange and the Boyne Valley.Guest review byPatriciaUnited Kingdom
- From $127.21 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.4Very Good - What previous guests thought, 283 reviewsThe room was cozy and warm, the bed was comfortable, the facilities were impeccably clean and the showers were lovely and hot, The wood burning stove was a delight and it was an added bonus to have a heater and electricity. It was peaceful and tranquil. All of this whilst being dog friendly honestly made it all round, the best stay I've ever had on booking.com. I will be back and might even be looking to check out their wedding packages in the distant future 😂. The price point was the biggest plus for me. I've stayed in similar glamping yurts and huts and they made it harder to justify going back for this reason but not here. Staff were on hand if you needed them but otherwise, you were left to your own devices and this was the best way! I would have booked more nights if it wasn't already booked out however I will be aiming to come back in a month or so for my partner's birthday! Absolutely great place! Well done guys 🙏 Cannot rate it higher!Guest review byNiallUnited Kingdom

My visit to Trim on August 8–9, 2025, was an absolute delight! This charming heritage town in County Meath is a hidden gem that blends rich history with a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The highlight for me was exploring Trim Castle, a stunningly preserved Norman fortress with breathtaking views from the keep—its history and grandeur are truly captivating. Wandering through the town’s quaint streets, I loved the cozy vibe of local cafes and pubs, where friendly locals added to the charm. The River Boyne walkway was perfect for a peaceful stroll, with beautiful scenery and a serene ambiance. Trim’s compact size made it easy to explore, yet there was so much to see, from the ancient ruins of the Yellow Steeple to the vibrant community spirit. Whether you’re a history buff or just looking for a relaxing getaway, Trim is a must-visit destination. I’d rate this trip a 9/10 and can’t wait to return!Guest review byGoldStar2017Ireland - 10.0
The reception by the hosts are second to none.
The reception by the hosts are second to none. The property is very clean and meets all standard. I went there with family on an event trip. I look forward to returning there with my whole family for a longer stay holiday in the near future. The property offers any one with a quite environment and good back garden.Guest review byGodwinUnited Kingdom - 6.0

Beautiful setting and grounds, eager anticipation of a great stay was however quickly dissipated at reception where we were told the room we had already paid for was not available. We were downgraded from a 2 roomed lodge, more appropriate for us and our adult daughter, to a family room, more appropriate for a family with young child. Took several visits to reception to establish what seems to be a paltry and arbitrary partial refund, not even any goodwill compensation offered. We were there for a close friend's wedding so did not want the issue to suck any more energy and joy out of us so didn't kick up more of a fuss. Future visitors, please stick to your guns and get the room you paid for. Other than that the event was great, facilities were very good, breakfast and wedding meals were just lovely. Maybe they could have waived our breakfast fee for the room mix up?Guest review bySanjayUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Ashbourne was lovely to access Dublin if you don’t want the noise of the city centre. Plenty to do and see. The tour of Croke Park was the highlight for us. The best place to eat was Burgr. Very tasty and very clean.Guest review byFionaUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Stayed in the headfort arms for our 12 year anniversary, arrived and was given an upgrade on our room we wore delighted! (we stayed in room 2). The lady at the reception checking us in was lovely very informative and had a laugh with us, I never caught her name unfortunately. We ate in the Vanilla Pod restaurant I'm sure it was called, the food, drinks and service wore lovely. Breakfast was fast and very tasty! Downfall unfortunately for us was our sleep, the windows in the room did let alot of street noise in and possibly heat out as it did get cold even with the rad on full. The pillows in our room wore awful, 4 pillows on the bed 2 of them folded like paper and the other 2 wore like a brick, we didn't get a good nights sleep at all sadly, we also had a coffee machine with plenty of options for tea & coffee but no cups in the room to make any. Due to the lack of sleep I'm not sure I'd come back to stay which is a same as the hotel itself is fabulous.Guest review byReddin - 8.0

Bettystown has a fabulous beach ideal for nice long walks, there's also some nice coffee shops in the area but there is not much else to do there. There are good bus and rail connections, with shuttle buses to and from the train station in Laytown and the main bus station in Drogheda. A car would also be helpful to explore neighboring areas, and a little further a field.Guest review byJackieIreland - 4.0

the house is on lovely grounds in a good area to explore the surrounding country. it has lovely gardens. one small downside is the interiors of the houses are perhaps a bit dated. and could use some refurbishment in furniture and equipment.Guest review byPaulIreland - 8.0

Great location to stop for one night after flying into Dublin and heading over to Doolin. We were able to walk around the town and see the castle and the trail that runs along the river is beautiful.Guest review byCarolUnited States
