Hafnarfjorthur was between Keflavic and Reykjavik making it quite handy and more affordable to stay at. We rented a car to tour the Golden Circle, enjoy the Blue Lagoon, and sightsee in Reykjavik and felt that was a good choice. We didn't sightsee in Hafnarfjorthur.Guest review byLynetteUnited States - 10

ive already answered these questions twice. we paid for a superior room and got one. Neighborhood is out of the way but has great views and animals and is near the road to Costco. we spent 2 weeks driving the entire island and enjoyed it. This place has a theme tastefully done and modern amenities. The Viking Hotel restaurant where you check -in has a nice themed restaurant good food and service.Guest review bysandraUnited States - 8.0

This is a place of unique, rugged beauty. The resort has wonderful accommodations to fit the needs of 2 people or a large group. The spa and bistro are just right for a group that wishes to enjoy the hot springs and enjoy a light meal together.Guest review byMichaelUnited States - 10

This is one of ,,those,, accommodations where you want to spend the night after a week full of traveling. It is clear that the owner has a sense of detail and quality. You can feel the quality on the materials and furnishings, the equipment of the entire apartment and the services that are here. Everything is still new, clean. Situated in a quiet location. We slept very well! Parking in front of the entrance, Accessibility anywhere is perfect. Since it is new here, the accommodation does not have any review and even though I usually do not write reviews, I think this one deserves one. For the price, it is exclusive accommodation and we will definitely come back here.Guest review byDaniel K.Slovakia - 10
I just adored this city.
I just adored this city. Iceland has such a gorgeous mix of city, spa and nature. We stayed for four nights and managed to squeeze in two full city days, soaking up the calm, cosy vibes of Reykjavík and the DELICIOUS food. On day 3, we hit the Sky Lagoon (a must-see/do!), had a chilled afternoon and then went out for dinner at Sumac (highly recommend) and the Magic Ice Bar. On Day 4, we did a full day Golden Circle tour Classic Day trip excursion with Reykjavik Excursions (booked via TripAdvisor). This was possibly the highlight of the trip as we not only saw all the key nature spots: Thingvellir National Park, the Great Geysir and the Gullfoss waterfall, but our tour guide (Darren) and driver (Ibra) were superb! Don’t have enough superlatives for how brilliant the tour was. We ended our trip with a Northern Lights tour by Arctic Adventures. We managed to see them after poor conditions meant the tour had been cancelled all four nights prior. It was an unbelievable experience and our tour guide made such a stellar effort, taking us to three locations to make sure we saw as much as possible. An unforgettable experience and a country like no other! I’ll be back!Guest review byGabrielaUnited States - 10

We are use to very large rooms with kitchens in our hotel room. While we vacationed in Iceland we stayed at VRBO’s but we saw this unique hotel and had to stay here and experience it! Loved walking around the hotel and the use of hot tub and sauna !!!Guest review byronnieUnited States - 10

Hlid Fisherman's Village had lots of "viking" character with some very interesting maritime realia, close proximity to Icelandic horses, heritage chickens, a koi pond, cedar sauna and two rooftop hot tubs. The room was very clean, bed was comfortable and the view was to the sea.Guest review byMarciaUnited States
