Lighthouse Inn is a fantastic spot in Gardur only 15mins drive from the airport. We decided not to hire a car and so a taxi cost us about 6000krone from the airport and the next day we bussed into Reykjavik using the public buses. We dined at the hotel restaurant for dinner and were so well looked after by Roberto. The next morning we were treated to a fantastic breakfast! We were hoping to spot the northern lights while out of the city but weren’t lucky this stay but would definitely return again as the Lighthouse Inn feels like such a treat! The lady on reception when we arrived was an absolute delight as well! You won’t be disappointed by a stay here. The facilities are top notch and a walk around the lighthouses is a must, it’s a peaceful and gorgeous place to be.

Lovely interior design with great amenities within the space. Both dinner and breakfast offerings were great, staff was friendly as well. Amazing location near to airport and also to return our campervan. Highly recommended!

The rooms (including the shower space) are spacious as advertised, offering a cozy atmosphere. There is a welcome tea and coffee right in the room which is already included into the room price. The heating warms up the room just in a few minutes. There are several TV channels in English (even for the kids). The shuttle bus to Keflavik Airport comes as a complementary service, so we just had to book the place in the bus ahead.

The hotel was very clean and comfortable. The late check in was not a problem since there are lock boxes and good instructions on how to access your room. The breakfast was nice with a lot of options - all the food was good. The staff were friendly.

The Hotel is brilliantly placed for the Blue Lagoon. However, this Hotel has something that others do not - possibly the nicest hosts you could ever wish to meet. We were trapped in a blizzard, and the owners and staff could not do anymore for you. A great family Hotel run by great people who are there to give their guests a great experience. Great Hotel with great facilities, Congratulations on doing just that!!
