- From US$191.39 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.1Superb - What previous guests thought, 3,277 reviewsLighthouse Inn is a fantastic spot in Gardur only 15mins drive from the airport. We decided not to hire a car and so a taxi cost us about 6000krone from the airport and the next day we bussed into Reykjavik using the public buses. We dined at the hotel restaurant for dinner and were so well looked after by Roberto. The next morning we were treated to a fantastic breakfast! We were hoping to spot the northern lights while out of the city but weren’t lucky this stay but would definitely return again as the Lighthouse Inn feels like such a treat! The lady on reception when we arrived was an absolute delight as well! You won’t be disappointed by a stay here. The facilities are top notch and a walk around the lighthouses is a must, it’s a peaceful and gorgeous place to be.Guest review bySamanthaNew Zealand
- From US$147.50 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.2Very good - What previous guests thought, 9,625 reviewsThe rooms (including the shower space) are spacious as advertised, offering a cozy atmosphere. There is a welcome tea and coffee right in the room which is already included into the room price. The heating warms up the room just in a few minutes. There are several TV channels in English (even for the kids). The shuttle bus to Keflavik Airport comes as a complementary service, so we just had to book the place in the bus ahead.Guest review byNataljaLatvia
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.8Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 370 reviewsGreat parking nearby. In Keflavik near some delicious restaurants and local bars (Brons was really close and good). Andi and Yuki were really friendly and knowledgable of the area and gave me some guidance to places I could drive to, and Andi made me a fantastic coffee. Quirky decor, but very clean, and a very restful sleep. I would stay here again without a doubt - I wish I went into the hot springs, but was too tired.Guest review byCoryCanada
- From US$426.12 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.4Very good - What previous guests thought, 940 reviewsThe Hotel is brilliantly placed for the Blue Lagoon. However, this Hotel has something that others do not - possibly the nicest hosts you could ever wish to meet. We were trapped in a blizzard, and the owners and staff could not do anymore for you. A great family Hotel run by great people who are there to give their guests a great experience. Great Hotel with great facilities, Congratulations on doing just that!!Guest review byTargettUnited States

Icelandair flies to so many good destinations on the European Continent. And Keflavik is a great stop over from cities in North America. Stay several days in Iceland before moving on. Rent a car in Keflavik and avoid the crowds in Reykjavik. Experience a real Icelandic town and stay at a really nice hotel.Guest review byDavidUnited States - 10.0
Great location 10 minutes from the Blue lagoon.
Great location 10 minutes from the Blue lagoon. We stayed here on our first night in Iceland going straight from the airport to the Blue lagoon then checked in. Not a lot here but there’s a pretty church here Tip: don’t buy supplies in the airport shop - we stocked up & it cost us a fortune. There’s a Netto in GrindavíkGuest review byJenniferUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Gardur is a convenient location close to the airport.
Gardur is a convenient location close to the airport. The room was very nice and the bed was comfortable, The access was easy with no stairs for brining in luggage. I liked the small town and visiting the lighthouses nearby. I enjoyed my stay here and would stay here again.Guest review byFaith - 8.0

We chose to stay here on our last night in Iceland, for the convenience of the airport. It was really good, a very easy 10/15 minute drive, with no traffic or weather worries so was well worth it! Its close to blue lagoon too so you could go there, but it was fully booked for us so we drove up to Sky lagoon instead to soother our aching muscles! Has a hot tub which we didn't use as we had been to the lagoon but would have been a nice way to finish off especially as we were treated to a great Aurora display.. a fantastic way to bid farewell to Iceland! Very well equipped and nicely furnished. The only slight negative if we were staying longer is the walls were a little thin in the semi detached and you could hear next door at times, as they had a full house, so I would opt for the detached for privacy but fine for us for one night.Guest review byLisaUnited Kingdom - 6.0

Vogar is obviously just a bedroom community for Reykjavik with little there except a hotel, a motel, and a single uninteresting restaurant. It is convenient to the airport, the Blue Lagoon, and an excellent lava tube attraction. It is also close to the recent volcano eruption should you want to see than. The volcano was sleeping when we visited. It is far out of the path of the lava flow so it is quite safe.Guest review byAZ FrankUnited States - 10.0

This Home was perfect, I was in a great location and the property owner lives in the home next to this one. When we arrived he came out and was very pleasant and said if we need anything at any time to call him. We will definitely book this again!Guest review byKerryUnited States - 10.0

Easy to reach accommodation, nice room in a house with big communal areas like kitchen and lounge/dining room. Great location to go anywhere in Iceland. This time I only came to see the active volcano and this accommodation was perfect for my trip. Described with no wifi available, while instead fast wifi was there, so much better than expected. Thanks again.Guest review byPaoloUnited Kingdom - 8.0
I took some tours that I really enjoyed.
I took some tours that I really enjoyed. The Sky Lagoon, the Blue Lagoon, the Golden Circle and many places in Reykjavik itself. I was disappointed not seeing much of the Northern Lights. The weather decides. Not much luck there. Nothing you can do about it. Worth seeing: The Lava show, Flying over Iceland , Harpa convention center downstairs for the show. Very expensive place. Prepare your budget before going in Iceland. Don't forget the Videy island where there is a Peaceful Tower Lightning in honour of John Lennon. Enjoy your trip.Guest review byGinette - 10.0

Grindavik is a small, beautiful fishing village close to the Geldingadalur volcano (but not too close) and the Blue Lagoon. It has many excellent hiking opportunities and great restaurants. Grindavik is surrounded by a beautiful natural landscape. Whale-watching, fishing, mountaineering, very friendly people, safe environment, you name it, Grindavik has it all!Guest review byjuliusvIceland - 6.0
It was close to airport.
It was close to airport. Room was overpriced for the accommodation. Breakfast we had to pay for but wish we would have just stopped at a gas station instead. The guy wears a chef jacket but only thing that was cooked was boiled eggs. Price for breakfast was too costly for what you get.Guest review byAnnUnited States
