Definitely a memorable experience and would even dare to say, a mandatory stop on your Icelandic roadtrip. Not only was the breakfast the best food we had in Iceland with a great variety of fresh dishes, the location of the hotel is unique (our room had a view to the lush green mountains that are incredibly scenic), the staff was extremely kind and attentive (with a special shout out to the Portuguese gentleman) and facilities makes you stay for a longer period of time (i.e., Spa, thermal baths, ice showers and relaxation rooms overlooking the glaciers and giving an great sense of calmness and relaxation). Breakfast was spectacular! Wonderful variety and excellent quality. Loved the artifacts displayed throughout the building, like a museum. Enjoyed using the common space for our own family gathering. Also good extra space in room and bathroom.

Breakfast is really good with fresh warm bread! Different from other places we visited in Iceland where it’s just basic. Here we loved it! Evening restaurant also surprised us with delicious and not expensive food. Hotel is really clean. We booked a room with shared bathroom but the stay overall was better than in other hotels with private bathrooms! Cozy, clean, good value for money.

Very cozy and warm design. It was very comfortable to stay here. It’s located just in the city center so it’s a couple of minutes to access gas/supermarket/caffe.
