We had 3 full days in Italy, we managed see football stadium., da vinci museum, and rest of the most famous places in Milan, also we visit Venice for one day, I would stay one more day to see Verona. But otherwise we saw everything what we wanted in full 3 days.Guest review byMartaUnited Kingdom - 10

We loved the absence of motor vehicles, just people walking everywhere. The seafood was great! We enjoyed a tour of Doge's Palace, and a tour of Burano and Murano (including a glass blowing demonstration).Guest review byJoseUnited States - 8.0

If you compare Verona city center to that of Florence, it is far more condensed, which makes it easy to get around particularly on foot. If you're looking to take in most of the sites, purchasing the Verona Card makes life easier. That said, most sites are closed on Mondays, so plan accordingly. You can visit most everything in two-days. Would recommend spending a third day for a day trip to Lake Garda or the nearby vineyards.Guest review byTeresaUnited States - 10
Lovely Italian city.
Lovely Italian city. Amazing local food and wine and lots of museums to explore. I would recommend the cinema Musuem and the Egyptian Musuem. Also very easy to travel around using buses, metro or trains. We didn't need catch a single taxi.Guest review byAnitaUnited Kingdom - 10

Beautiful old city which you can spend hours wandering around. The countryside is fabulous around it and the views magnificent. Bergamo has a brilliant transport system, airport only 2 miles from town and main train station there too. Busses are good. Shopping centre is very good too.Guest review byLyndaUnited Kingdom - 8.0

The area of Mestre near the train station is safe and convenient, but not very pretty. Like many cities, it has a large immigrant population, so it doesn't feel very Italian, which you expect to when in Italy. HOWEVER, once you walk to the center of Mestre, about 15 minutes from the train station, or a couple stops by bus/tram, the town center of Mestre is really lovely with a great museum, big pretty square, nice shops and lots of great places to have a spritz and some ciccheti outside, so I definitely recommend people to take the time to see the town center. That said, we did enjoy all the non-Italian places to eat in Mestre, we had some great Indian food, which was a comforting break after eating Italian food for 3 weeks.Guest review byChris and NicoleUnited States - 10

Trieste we were told beforehand was Venice without the crowds. However it is much more Vienna on Sea with all the very attractive buildings having been part of the Hapsburg empire for a long time in the past. It is a must see.Guest review byRichardUnited Kingdom - 6.0

Como is absolutely over crowded with tourists, this was mid October. It was a 45-60 minute queue waiit to buy a ferry ticket and same to get on if your lucky. We went to Bellagio via local bus C130 and returned by ferry much easier to get ticket . Lots of good Restraunt’s.Guest review byAdrianAustralia - 10

College town with nice squares, historic buildings, museums and university without all the tourists. No big tourist groups or buses. Felt more like a real livable city with a local community. Prices for food and drinks were very reasonable relative to the more popular tourist locations.Guest review byDR Ron GUnited States - 10
Lovely location, easy access by road, bus or ferry.
Lovely location, easy access by road, bus or ferry. Great place to be based in order to explore other towns on Lake Garda. Very good ferry service. The old town of Sirmione is very picturesque, lots of restaurants and shops. Still very busy when we visited in early October and would be even more so in the summer months, quieter in the evenings when day trippers have gone. Nice walk around the peninsula and good view from the top of Scaligero Castle.Guest review byElizabethGuernsey
