- From $132.18 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 6.3Pleasant - What previous guests thought, 82 reviewsOk so we booked The Corvino resourt centrally to Monopoli so we could tour La Puglia on our motorcycles. In this respect its an ideal location but otherwise its a 15 minute drive to the old town centre of Monopoli. On the other hand Pongiana al Mare, Ostuno, Locorotunda, Alberobello, Lecce and Matera are all the nice idylic old towns easily accessible by driving from the Corvino. The old town of Monopoli is quite amazing with its imposing 'Duomo' cathedral and big square full of restaurants and brasseries, even a great Japanese restaurant there too offering great Sushi! The Via Garibaldi below this square is also adorned with boutique shops for shopping the known fashion names too. Its parking facilities are fantastic with 24/7 security guard watch which is exactly why we booked the Corvino as we wanted secure parking for our classic motorcycles! They, the Security staff, Ormando and the rest are very nice and helpful and we enjoyed talking to them as we went in and out of this resort, they even organised our taxies for us too!! The bedroom was a bit small but clean, bathroom was fine too if you don't mind hitting your elbows on the shower's glass doors as you shower ;) Unfortunately they gave us a room which was way too far away from the reception and restaurant in the resort. Conversely we were very close to the beach and their Lido, which in September was closed down!! Most of the facilities at the Corvino had closed down by now, no pizzeria too... this is endemic to Italy in general as after their 'ferroagusto' month long national holiday everything starts to close down anyway. The Lido Bar was supposed to be open but I think only short hours during the day. The in house restaurant served us Breakfast and dinner on a buffet self-service which was plentiful and the food was generally quite good too! The hotel Staff were very nice and courteous to us and Alessandro helped us in every way too.Guest review byRaymondMalta
- From $81.16 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.9Excellent - What previous guests thought, 458 reviewsIt has been a nice place in the middle of the countryside, a large area actually divided into two buildings. One building was a restaurant and grocery store where you could buy some probably homemade jams, salami, cheeses, etc. A little further away was the other building where there was a B&B and factory that you could perhaps go in and look around, but I didn't. The room was nice, reasonable, comfortable beds, large bathroom and an outside walkway so it was nice to be able to go out and not feel trapped with only windows. Wifi worked well. The staff was very nice and helpful. The downside was that it was relatively cold inside, probably central A/C and it couldn't be regulated in the room. But there were warm blankets so I didn't freeze at night anyway. The other downside was that although there was a dining room in this building, breakfast was still served in the first building and it was a bit of a walk. I had to take the car as I am after leg surgery and have a bit of difficulty walking. So the place is not very suitable for a person with reduced mobility. The breakfast was good and there was also salami and cheeses, not just pastries. There was also a restaurant so you could have dinner or lunch and refreshments so that was nice. As I said it was a nice place, a real agricultural place and a lot to do around as there was a forest too with different activities so it might be nice to stay there for a couple of days and explore a bit.Guest review byMichaelaSweden
- From $450.88 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.8Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 121 reviewsStunning! The reality is that it is best to have a car to explore the Puglia region, so why not stay in a little piece of paradise while you do!? Masseria le Torri is located about 8 minute drive from Polignano a Mare in a secluded quiet environment - perfect to relax after a busy day exploring. There are numerous options to explore in the region and all staff are more than happy to offer suggestions and help. The staff, the service, the rooms, the pool, the food and drink and the tranquility are all amazing - we felt so lucky to have found this place and had the opportunity to stay here. Highly recommend!Guest review byPhillipAustralia

Beautiful old town, with a huge number of restaurants and bars. Food was excellent throughout. Staff everywhere were exceptionally friendly and went out of their way to help. We visited in September and it was very busy - We can only imagine it is too crowded and too hot in peak summer months. Be aware that beaches are small, but there are a number of them, within walking distance, or by taxi to larger beach clubs. The old town is really beautiful, with tiny streets, squares and alleyways. Worth packing comfy shoes and just wandering.Guest review byNicolaIreland - 10.0

We were based in Polignano since it’s closer to Alberobello, Ostuni and Locorotondo, which we visited. For my mother, who uses a walker, 3-4 days were just right, but the rest of us could stay and explore Puglia towns for longer. Polignano’s streets are beautiful, with lovely shops, bars and restaurants. Beach and bridge are spectacular and a bit windy in October.Guest review byUrška Tea - 10.0

Beautiful old town area, quite compact with lovely restaurants and cafes. A few shops selling tasteful clothing and gifts, no tacky tourist tat. Stunning views across the surrounding countryside from many view points. Two nights gave us the opportunity to explore in a relaxing way but it’s possible a day trip would be enough for some. We enjoyed visiting Mandragon for both breakfast and in the evening for dinner. Best lasagna we’ve ever eaten.Guest review byHilaryUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Giovinazzo is a great little town, especially the historic centre. Less touristy than other places. Great fun exploring the little alleyways and squares. Plenty of restaurants serving excellent food, though we struggled to find just bars...we were there towards the end of their season though, so maybe more options in peak season? A good base for visiting Bari, Trani plus other sights inlandGuest review byStephen - 8.0

Lovely typical authentic Italian town with interesting Centro Storico with its good range of cafes, restaurants and historical sights. No Sky Sports bars, Irish pubs or Sunday Roast Beef dinners (thankfully) ! Very family friendly and a good base to explore the wider area. Definitely not a tourist trap - mostly localsGuest review by1PeterH63United Kingdom - 10.0

We went to Molfetta for “The Festa”, blessing of the fleet. A tradition that a lot of fishing towns have. It was amazing. Lots of music, people & festivities. The town comes to life. Any other time of the year, it is a very quiet town.Guest review byDeborahAustralia - 10.0

the wonderful old town, with its maze of lanes/alleys, beautiful stone buildings rich in history; seeing the nonnas making handmade orecchiette in their doorways; an art-lover's delight with fine architecture/Romanesque sculpture/frescoes in churches and Cathedral (superb excavated archaeological area underneath, and various treasures in the next door Museum). lots of good restaurants/cafes/bars, serving local specialities great sea views from the long promenade which curves round two different bays. in the New town, lots of streets on a grid pattern, mostly pedestrianised, with a huge range of shopsGuest review byEdithUnited Kingdom
