- From $866.18 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.9Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 93 reviewsTime at the monastero is everything you might expect for a 5 star resort experience with some notable distinctions. Amazing attention to detail and systems of management, result in a sense of tranquility which is hugely amplified by the monastery setting. This really can't be overstated. The peaceful environment they create here is quite precious. Secondly, having a limited number guests (20), means that there is a sense of privacy missing from some resorts or hotels. Thirdly, the views are literally some of the best photos from our trip. Fourthly, the generosity and warmth of the staff in every area is 100% consistent. A great credit to management. Loved our stay. Obviously not an every holiday option, but a special stay that will be remembered for a very long time.Guest review byMatthew CostaAustralia

Naples is a city that's now on the tourist map.
Naples is a city that's now on the tourist map. That's not a bad thing per se. It means that areas that might have been down-at-heel a decade ago are now vibrant. Napoli is a city that's been around forever, and there's lots to explore - in the city and surrounding areas. It also has the highest population density of any Italian city (more than double that of Rome!), meaning that the sidewalks and streets are busy and noisy. Don't be put off by it. Embrace the "orderly chaos" and be amazed at this cliff-side city!Guest review byBrianCanada - 8.0

Although there are more cars and scooters than we remember from10 years ago, Sorrento is still a wonderful town to visit. Lots of history, natural beauty, amazing views, interesting shops and good restaurants.Guest review byLisaCanada - 10.0
Salerno was a pretty city and was not overrun by tourists.
Salerno was a pretty city and was not overrun by tourists. It was a city for the inhabitants and it had a good feeling about it. The old market street was lovely to walk along, as was the promenade along the water. The train line allowed for easy connections to Naples, Rome, Paestum and further south. The proximity to so many ferries was good for day trips. There was also the bus stop near the ferries that allowed travel to other parts of Italy.Guest review byDianneAustralia - 10.0

Capri is great to explore via taxi, get up early and head up to Ana Capri, less traffic more intimate area. The chair lift is a must to the top of the mountain, and lunch up top of the mountain is amazing. Capri is nice in the evenings to walk around and shop with plenty of places to get cocktails, and explore.Guest review byAnonymous - 2.0
Positano is a total zoo!!!
Positano is a total zoo!!! The alleys are jam-packed with people and lined with shops selling tourist junk. The roads are extremely curvy and hazardous to walk on (shoulders are about 6" wide). Every time I tried to take a bus there were about 4 busloads of people waiting and it was a battle to get on.Guest review byStaciaUnited States - 8.0

I visited Pompeii in early October and whilst busy, I was reliably informed that it’s quiet compared to peak summer months. Definitely worth visiting and I’d recommend a guide if you can. So much to see and you should allow a good 3hrs+ to see the whole site. There’s a lot of walking to do and if you’re unsteady on your feet, that will limit some of the things you can see at the site. I’d also strongly recommend you take water with you. It’s hot work even in October. I also visited Herculaneum, which is much smaller but is in many ways, a better preserved site. You’ll see the second floor on many buildings. That said, you get a real feel for how big Pompeii was back in the day. Which is better? Pompeii for me based upon the sheer scale, variety of buildings and the wonder you get of how well developed the Romans were back in 79AD. I’d also say that the surroundings outside of the UNESCO World Heritage site are a whole lot better than Herculaneum.Guest review byMikeUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Caserta is a very underrated place to visit, but it must be seen on your travels. The palace is an unbelievable place. Check out the gardens, it is close to Napoli, Sorrento, and Capri, and an ideal location to base your Holiday. It has everything you need: Road Network, trains, and busesGuest review byIannarelliUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Maiori is lovely, spread out and calm. There are plenty of shops to poke about in and even more restaurants and gelato places to sample. We loved the cleanliness and safety of the sidewalks. It felt spacious.Guest review bySandraCanada
