- Scored out of 10, guest rating 7.4Good - What previous guests thought, 278 reviewsThe hotel is on a very convenient location to go and visit west Palau, La maddalena, and Caprera or east Porto rotondo, cala di volpe and Golfo arranci. Clean and comfortable air conditioned room with fridge and hair dryer , Amazing food buffet dinner with large choice of fish or vegetable starters, pasta or rice , meat or fish main course and wine and coffee included . Breakfast was just as amazing with bacon, eggs, home made cakes and cookies and fruit and cereals. Very friendly staff. Good value for money for couples with or without children but remember this is a holiday village hotel with lots of fun and noisy activities, after 11pm it's very peaceful again.Guest review byAntonio Di RienzoItaly
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.4Very Good - What previous guests thought, 454 reviewsBeautiful property, private beach and pools, great amenities (Manuela at the spa), in addition to great service from the staff including Veronica, Roberto, and Lina. Great place to spend an entire day or use as a base for other beaches in the area. Definitely rent a car for the short drive into town, which can become inconvenient if you don't have one.Guest review byBernardItaly

What an amzing place!
What an amzing place! We loved the city, the prommenades, the shopping, restaurants, and of course the beaches! We visited: Poltu Quato for a dinner at Tanit (definitely recommend), we visited beaches at: Spiaggia del Principe, Grande Pevero, and Rena Bianca, Rena Bianca was by far the best!Guest review byHusseinSwitzerland - 8.0

Such a quaint little village, we would love to come back and visit in the summer season as many restaurants were closed . We did not use our car once while we were in Cannigione as everything was walking distance. We also felt very safe as it is a small villageGuest review byemmamilikinsAustralia - 8.0

Giants Tombs and other archelogical site in the nearby area of Tenuta Pilastru are very interesting. Only 20 minutes drive to the Costa Smeralada, the worldwide renound resort, with amazing white sand's beaches and spectacular views, as well as Porto Cervo Village and its Marina, together with high-end shopping opportunities. Arzachena is a honest pleasent village, but with nothing really special to see...Guest review byFrancescoItaly - 10
Porto Rotondo is a lovely place.
Porto Rotondo is a lovely place. It is very exclusive and the food and drink prices reflect that. Don't go if you want to save money! The beaches are great and the sea is as clear as a bell. Lovely marina with some wonderful boats.Guest review byKarenUnited Kingdom - 10
Cosy, quiet and full of nice people.
Cosy, quiet and full of nice people. Baja Sardinia is a place to stay when you don't want the flashy, upscale and perhaps a bit "too american" crowd in the nearby Porto Cervo but want to still be in the most beautiful part of Sardinia. Getting to all the stunning beaches by car is a breeze from here and the view itself overlooking la madallena is mesmerizing. Highly recommended.Guest review byJerzyPoland - 8.0

It is a picturesque town and has a good mixture of shops and eateries. Very easy to walk around and central location to visit the beaches and the north coast. It is expensive but the restaurant food, if you choose carefully, is excellent.Guest review byMackintosh - 8.0
The beauty of Santa Marinella is in the proximity to the...
The beauty of Santa Marinella is in the proximity to the best beaches of Costa Smeralda, but without the ridiculous price tag. Provided you have a car, the most beautiful beaches are 15-30 minutes away. Porto Rotondo with it's chick restaurants and lovely night atmosphere is 7 min driving. Famed "Lu Stazzu " restaurant that serves traditional Sardinian food, including porcheddo - fire roasted pig, is 7 min away. Keep in mind, the restaurants of Costa Smerlda book fast during the season. People dress up, especially women - I am talking evening long dresses :) Santa Marinella port is a walkable distance, but there is not much happening at night. The bottom line Santa Marinellla is cute, it is a pseudo Mediterranean style resort like village with lots of condos and small hotels. It is very pleasant and convenient to stay here, if you have a car. Two days stay.Guest review byJaneUnited States - 6.0
The location with beach and pool were lovely.
The location with beach and pool were lovely. The interiors of the apartment were poor. When we arrived at the unit we realized there was only 1 air conditioning unit in the main bedroom. The entire house was a sweat box. The guests in the second bedroom slept with a fan the first night and woke up to wet sweaty sheets. We complained and the host provided a portable A/C unit the next day. The rest of the house is about 95 degrees. You can't open the doors/windows because bees and insects will be swarming in. We had a fan running in the living room and it stopped running after day 3. A closet door in the hallway was broken and fell on my foot and had a lovely bruise. The hallway bath toilet water will spill on the floor when flushed and the shower door is about 8" from the toilet bowl. The second bathroom tub clogs and takes 24hrs to drain. The water will turn cold if 2 people are taking a shower at the same time. Cabinet doors in both bathroom/closets and kitchen are old and don't close/open properly. The kitchen is very narrow and allows for one person to be in that space at a time. It also has a fowl odor. Overall, I am disappointed with the poor facilities of this unit and it was NOT worth what I paid for. I could have stayed at 5 star resort on the beach w/breakfast and beach chairs included for half the price. Unfortunately, the pictures posted don't show the wear and tear of this place.Guest review byBARBARAUnited States - 8.0
Lovely quiet Sardinian resort.
Lovely quiet Sardinian resort. Very good restaurants and snack bars. Great little harbour which holds local markets a couple of times a week. If you’re looking for a quiet break just to have a rest this is the place to go.Guest review byMags WardUnited Kingdom - 10
Arzachena is a wider area plus name of nearby town.
Arzachena is a wider area plus name of nearby town. We stayed in Cannigione which is the main coastal town of the area. It is our favourite town in Sardinia now our kids are teenagers. They can use the town's beach and head off to bars and shops on their own. Lots of choice of restaurants and the town is really on the up since the investment in the new Marina. With the big boats came investment and there are new restaurants and hotels popping up. All budgets are catered for. You can get lunch for 5 euros or pay 100 euros a head if you wish. The beach is small and right in the town. There are much nicer beaches nearby but having it there is such a bonus if you don't want to travel or just want a quick swim. The sea is clear and not affected by the boats nearby.Guest review byMarkUnited Kingdom
