- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.4Very Good - What previous guests thought, 1,293 reviewsThis was an amazing few nights stay for us. The resort is fabulous, located by the beach, little chalets are between pines trees. The chalet we had was perfect for our family of 5. There is plenty to do for the kids. Pools were very busy but we didn’t mind as the beach and sea was what we preferred. Our son was the only speaking child in the kids club ( this was. A group for 10 year olds) but the person looking after the group (Abdullah) made sure that our boys felt included and had a great time. The Italian boys were also very welcoming and super kind and so my son had a very good time. We loved the evening entertainment. Food was a bit meh, for Italian beautiful food standards but it was fresh and overall ok for few days (I am not sure I would be happy if we stayed over the week 😀 the cook really needs to learn how to make scrambled eggs. But the omlettes were good). The little shop on the facilities was just great for daily groceries. Overal amazing!Guest review byAlexandraUnited Arab Emirates
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.0Very Good - What previous guests thought, 1,395 reviewsIt’s very cute and quaint with a variety of camping types (personal tents and campers but also rentable mobile homes and tent houses). I love that there is not auto traffic though the campground which makes it quiet and safe for walking. The mobile home we rented was clean and comfortable. All linens were included which was appreciated as we were traveling by bike. The beach was really nice and the water was very shallow for a long ways out.Guest review byJeffrey HarrItaly
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 7.9Good - What previous guests thought, 1,210 reviewsThe area of the village is very comfortable. Lots of shade, which allows you to stay cool even on the hottest days. Nice little house/tent with everything you need (kitchen, shower, air conditioning and a wide terrace) Good sandy beach was close to our house - just 1 minute to the sea. Free canoes and paddle boards on the beach Nice seafood restaurant + pizza and ice-cream for kids directly on the beach.Guest review byILLYAUkraine
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.9Excellent - What previous guests thought, 75 reviewsLoved every single detail about the property. The reason I gave 4/5 for location is because the hotel is located in a very remote and secluded area, which is the whole idea about relaxation. If you want to have any activity outside the hotel there is no taxi, Uber, bus, shuttle, public transportation,…. You MUST have a car or you need to pay a very high fee to have a private transfer by the hotel.Guest review byLeyliUnited States
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.0Very Good - What previous guests thought, 1,085 reviewsImpeccably run campsite on beach in remote, non-touristy area. We admired the design of our 5 person lodge tent, with 2 BR and BA, full kitchen and deck. Great private restaurant on grounds and a store, very quiet, friendly. The area seemed safe since no one locked up their bikes except electric bikes. Good compact design of site, not too far to walk to the beach.Guest review byJetdelUnited States

- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.5Very Good - What previous guests thought, 470 reviewsVery nice and clean camping, super kind staff, sunbeds and an umbrella on the beach included in the price was a nice bonus. The beach is beautiful, sand and small rocks, very clear water. The restaurant in the resort is amazing, very friendly staff and amazing food! Other shops and restaurants are right next the the camping.Guest review byZuzanaCzech Republic

There's not a lot there.
There's not a lot there. And when the cruise ships come in, it gets manic with people getting on busses. We'd a BAD experience with the inspectors that come on buses. They home in on tourist's, when they checked our tickets that we did on the card machine, though not our fault, we wanted 2 tickets, it gave us 1 and the called us crimenalsGuest review byBoyle - 8.0
A very attractive town.
A very attractive town. The beaches are superb, but unless you head out of town you need to go into a beach club. There are no free access beaches in town. Some hotels have an arrangement with a beach club for free or discounted access for guests, so it is worth checking this if you intend to use the beaches. It can cost typically EUR30-40 for 2 chairs, a sunbed and an umbrella. They don't offer reduced rates until 3-4pm. That will add up after a few days. The restaurants are OK but nothing special. Most of them serve the same food, which can get boring. We ate in our hotel restaurant more than we usually would, but the quality and variety of food on offer was better than any outside restaurant we tried. Apart from the beach, shops and walking up and down the promenade, there is not much to actually do in Viarregio, so you may want to get out on some day trips. Pisa and Luca are accessible by train, although we found them both to be disappointing (especially Luca - what a dump!). We found the train service a bit hit and miss, although it is cheap. Consider hiring a car if you plan to get out of Viareggio. If you pick up and drop off at the airport, it will also be useful for airport transfers.Guest review byFarnboUnited Kingdom - 4.0
Everything was a bit run-down and in need of restoration.
Everything was a bit run-down and in need of restoration. The beaches and restaurants were almost entirely empty of people, so there was a a lack of excitement and "buzz" about the whole area. I might have expected this a month later, but not in September.Guest review byAntony - 8.0

It was okay, there were some nice restaurants in the area and beaches with a good price. However, not that many things happening. But it was close to other cities and towns so very easy to do a day trip.Guest review byAdriana PatrycjaAustria - 10.0

Beautiful little town nestled in between the mountains and sea. The locals are very friendly, it's an easy town to walk around as it's not too big. The beach is HUGE so you can have a lovely walk along it. Lots of places to eat and drink to suit a variety of budgets – highlights were Caffe Soldi, Caffe Roma, Pesce Baracca, Bocconcino. There are lots of places to visit nearby – Pietrasanta, Lucca, Pisa, Cinequeterra – or you can relax on the beach in Forte, you will not be bored!Guest review bySarahUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Absolutely loved Cstiglione della Pescaia, the sandy beaches and refreshing water, Of course nothing compares to our Australian white sandy beaches and pristine waters, this place comes in a close second. Most suitable for families and children as the sea water was calm and shallow.Guest review bySoniaAustralia - 6.0

Were there off-season: very few people, many places closed, lots of free parking space everywhere! Rather complicated access to the beaches. Beware of leaving bikes, even if locked in remote places, the tyres of our bikes had been punctured, probably in preparation to be stolen later at night. Else, wonderful natural beaches nearby and other natural reserves.Guest review byMarcoSwitzerland - 8.0

A very pretty island but if you travel on the ferry for a day trip make sure you check the weather report because we got stuck there overnight which was stressful. The Ferry company had no website and the phone number was engaged all of the time. The information was non-existent and staff were at times rude and not helpful. Were given false information and told the next ferry was at 3pm. We had to cancel the accommodation we had paid for and book another night in Piombino. We were having lunch and saw the ship's funnel emitting smoke. We had to run for 1 km to get on the ferry with no warning.Guest review byMichaelAustralia - 8.0
I travelled to San Vincenzo for sailing.
I travelled to San Vincenzo for sailing. Given the relatively large marina and the geographical location close to Elba and Isola Capraia, Vincenzo is a great starting point for a sailing holiday. Beyond that, the city also offers some interesting sightseeing and a nice old city centre with a beautiful pedestial zone with numerous restaurants.Guest review byOtsoFinland - 10.0
We loved staying in this bed and breakfast place!
We loved staying in this bed and breakfast place! It is family owned business and they all do everything they can, above and beyond, so that their guests will feel comfortable and happy. The building was recently renovated and beautiful, the room was big and very comfortable, and the location could not be better! Few minutes from the beach, restaurants, and the promenade. We hope to come again.Guest review byAnonymousUnited States
