Location is great, close to major tourist attractions, 3 minutes to Trevi fountain 5 minutes to Spanish steps, 15 minutes’ walk to Colosseum. Breakfast was okay not great but not bad. We arrived at breakfast often around 9:30 and always had to ask for cheese or cold-cuts and glasses. Next time we will skip the breakfast and just go to next coffeeshop.

The early opening hours of the restaurant, breakfast buffet, and café with wide choices of croissants at 6:30 am enabled us to maximize our time in Rome. The cleanliness, peaceful atmosphere (in March), and the warmth of the staff enhanced our experience. Conveniently located regular bus service just outside the camp provided direct access to the metro station, making it effortless to reach all attractions. Additionally, a nearby supermarket offered added convenience if needed. 24 hours reception which is convenient for the late flights.

Really nice camping in the shade of old trees. The bungalow was well equipped, clean. The kitchen was equipped with all necessary equipment. Small terrace had barrier, so kids/dogs can't run out. The mini market had fresh bread and basic groceries. The beach is nice, clean, part with dogs is just next to the non-dog area. Both has umbrellas and sun beds.

Liked religious sites and the fact that there were more English speaking workers at restaurants. Didn't like a lot of the food we had or ambiance. Florence is better feeling more upscale and clean. If you want to see historic sites and relax go to Florence. Also visited Naples which was worst ambiance (full of graffiti, crowded, speeding vehicles, loud, unfriendly people if don't speak Italian). Rome was a mixture of Florence and Naples. Also, Vatican is its own country so when the Pope decides to close something it does, he's the sole ruler. So unfortunately our $150 tickets to the basilica of St. Peter were a waste because he closed the basilica the entire morning. When it reopened at 1pm the wait line was 2.5 hours of waiting outside in the very hot sun, so we weren't able to get in.

The close proximity of the hotel to the airport make this an excellent place to stay. The hotel is connected to the airport by a walkway, making it an ideal place to stay. I don't think many people think of "going to the beach" in Rome, but it's only about 30 minutes away and costs $1.50 by public transit. The town itself is a little slow when not in high beach season, but there are loads of restaurants and shops to keep you busy if the beach isn't your thing. Public transport is great. And, you can visit incredible recently unearthed Roman Ruins of Ostia Antica very easily.

Viterbo is a lovely town to visit and it is definitely a trip worth it if you want to escape all the hassle and bustle of Rome. Viterbo has a unique charm and I fell in love with it when I walked the Via Francigena. I stayed in Orchard Bed & Breakafast in Viterbo centre on the Via francigena path as it is available for pilgrims. Viterbo has more than one Spa resort. There are plenty of restaurants and the city is booming with vibrance and cafes. staying 3 nights in Viterbo was definitely worth it. The Park is lovely and the people are friendly. You do not have to worry about theft or other annoying misdemeanors. I would recommend 'Pizza Express'. It is an Indian restaurant, reasonable price and offers a wide range of dishes!!!

During my visit to Gaeta, I was truly impressed by several places in this charming coastal town. I especially loved walking along the seaside promenade and the beautiful avenue of plane trees—it was very relaxing and scenic. The old town with its colorful streets and historic buildings was also a highlight. For a quick bite or a casual meal, there are plenty of great options. I particularly enjoyed the local cafés and restaurants where you can try fresh seafood and traditional Italian dishes. There are also small grocery stores nearby if you prefer to grab something on the go. Getting around Gaeta is quite easy. The town is compact, so most places can be reached on foot, and it’s very pleasant to explore the streets at a leisurely pace. For families with young children, I would highly recommend visiting the beaches, which are clean and safe. A walk along the promenade or a visit to the Spanish Fortress on Monte Orlando is also fun and manageable with kids. The town has a relaxed atmosphere, making it perfect for families to enjoy both sightseeing and leisure time together.

Villa d’Este was amazing and had waterfalls to rival Palace of Versailles. The walk through Villa Gregoriana gardens down the side of the hill to the bottom of the waterfalls was a solid hike and not for the feeble. Definitely take a couple of hours to visit Hadrian’s Villa (aka Villa Adriana) which had amazing historical half crumbling palace and ornamental lake.

A lovely quaint place to stay, transport by train to Rome was a 5 min walk from hotel Flora and the train took about 40 min. and bus was outside the hotel. It has lovely restaurants and bars but limited clothes shopping. Just a great place to stay away from the the crowds in Rome. Cheap train travel to Rome 4.50 euro return to Frascati. Wineries are close to the township, just a beautiful place to stay.
