- Scored out of 10, guest rating 7.6Good - What previous guests thought, 79 reviewsA great place for families with small children, with a very nice garden, pools, and beach. The breakfast is delicious, with a large selection, the restaurant opposite the hotel is recommended for lunch and dinner if you don't want to make a reservation at the hotel. The staff is kind and helpful. Children's programs, the playhouse is open all day, so parents also have time to relax. Dolphin watching program with motorboat can be booked in the garden, good program with children.Guest review byKrisztinaHungary

Great little town to wander around with fascinating shops and great choice of restaurants. 4 of us went on a day boat trip on the Andrea Padre with Nautisub and had a wonderful time with great food and a great crew. Saw some of the caves, a few stops for swimming and saw Dolphins and Tuna . A great atmosphere and great value. The day was rounded by a fantastic meal at The Trattouria Cavour.Guest review bysockcjIsle of Man - 10.0
Olbia can be a good base for the main tours of the island.
Olbia can be a good base for the main tours of the island. Is right next to La Tavolara, close to Costa Smeralda, 30 min to wineries in Vermentino di Gallura, 1 hour from Palau and La Madalena, and 1h30 from Orosei and Baunei coasts. It is also a better city than I expected. The farthest is La Pelosa, but still at 2h hour drive. The town center is quite small, but pleasant to walk and visit. Many good restaurants tooGuest review byDanielBrazil - 8.0
We stayed 4 nights
We stayed 4 nights The beaches are spectacular some of the best we’ve ever seen in the Mediterranean. Fantastic for families with warm shallow water and soft sand backed by dramatic mountains in the distance. There are flocks of flamingos in the marshes near san Teodoro and spectacular views from the hills and gorgeous walks. The downside is the lack of beach restaurants and cafes . There is often a small kiosk selling coffee drinks and ice cream but little else so we took picnics . We really missed the ubiquitous beach tavernas you get in the rest of the Med so we were dying for a decent restaurant after a couple of nightsGuest review byRosieUnited Kingdom - 10.0

We have stayed in other very nice resorts and hotels with robust amenities throughout Sardinia and this was easily our favorite one. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly and went out of their way to assist us. In addition to the hotel, we loved touring around Capo Testa and spent a lot of time in Santa Teresa which is a very charming town near the hotel. Next time we will spend more time at the beaches since an injury prevented us from navigating the rocky beach.Guest review byDavidUnited States - 10.0
The best place in Sardinia.
The best place in Sardinia. Cute Italian town with picturesque houses, great restaurants and the best gelato. We loved going from beach to beach, they all possess different qualities, but they are all lovely with the bluest water I’ve seen. You definitely need a car or a Vespa to get the best experience. Taking a boat trip for a day is also a must! Would strongly recommend spending a few days in La Maddalena!Guest review byTameshaNorway - 8.0

cute medieval town, interesting museum inside the castle, serveral restaurants/cafes with amazing view over the ocean, several beaches nearby, lively towncentre, enchanting cliffs (the little mermaid was filmed here)Guest review byAdelmannAustria - 10.0

Beautiful city, much cheaper to eat and drink out than in the coastal towns. Plenty to explore, shopping, historical buildings and churches. Excellent array of restaurants and bars. Hypermarkets on the outskirts for anything that you might need.Guest review byDeniseUnited Kingdom - 4.0
Sardegna is overpriced for what it is.
Sardegna is overpriced for what it is. Sure you come for the picturesque beaches but you'll pay for it. To stay at the beach and get an umbrella and two beach chairs will cost you 50EUR. The food is extremely at the beach restaurant, just junk food really. not a proper Italian experience. We struggled to find good restaurants in the area, there was only one really nice one down at the port Ristorante Lina, but apart from that we couldn't wait to move on to our next adventure.Guest review byAnthonyUnited Kingdom - 8.0

We highly recommend Palau for its great connections to La Maddalena – just a 20–25 minute ferry ride, with departures every 30 minutes. Once on La Maddalena, we rented a rubber boat (gommoni) to explore the rest of the paradise-like islands, so the location turned out to be a perfect choice.Guest review byAlejandraSwitzerland - 10.0
What an amzing place!
What an amzing place! We loved the city, the prommenades, the shopping, restaurants, and of course the beaches! We visited: Poltu Quato for a dinner at Tanit (definitely recommend), we visited beaches at: Spiaggia del Principe, Grande Pevero, and Rena Bianca, Rena Bianca was by far the best!Guest review byHusseinSwitzerland
