Viterbo is a lovely town to visit and it is definitely a trip worth it if you want to escape all the hassle and bustle of Rome. Viterbo has a unique charm and I fell in love with it when I walked the Via Francigena. I stayed in Orchard Bed & Breakafast in Viterbo centre on the Via francigena path as it is available for pilgrims. Viterbo has more than one Spa resort. There are plenty of restaurants and the city is booming with vibrance and cafes. staying 3 nights in Viterbo was definitely worth it. The Park is lovely and the people are friendly. You do not have to worry about theft or other annoying misdemeanors. I would recommend 'Pizza Express'. It is an Indian restaurant, reasonable price and offers a wide range of dishes!!!Guest review byAquilaIreland - 10.0

Lake Bolsena is a beautiful place with many accommodation options available. The water temperature in Sep was like a warm bath. There are many local cafes and restaurants to choose from, but not all were open throughout our stay. During the siesta period you will find only limited eateries and the supermarket is open for business. We recommend the Antica Trattoria del Corso Pizzeria for the Calamari and Prawns and the prova le Nostre Specialta Pizzaria da Flavio pizzas. A very beautiful Italian mountain town. Hard to get to without a car. Buses do not run on Sundays. Taxis are also hard to come by and cost 50 euros each way from Orvieto.
