- From US$156.70 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.8Good - What previous guests thought, 885 reviewsWonderful friendly staff. It was nice that most of the guests were Japanese. We loved the breakfast and chose to have a Japanese breakfast, which set us up for the day, but everything was offered. We felt at home in the hotel. The location was perfect. We could walk or bus from Hakata station. The beds were comfortable and we slept well with memory pillows. The first night we had a delicious meal at a local restaurant which we found around the corner. The mamasan used Google translate to tell us about the menu. There was a fish market across the road. We were in walking distance along the canal to Canal City. We were able to make expresso coffee on the coffee machine in our room. Our twin room was a decent size. There was a supermarket, fruit stalls and a Chemist around the corner. We had a nice view from our room. I would recommend this hotel.Guest review byAnneNew Zealand

I spent most of time visiting other parts of Kyushu ie Saga Prefecture, Kumomoto Prefecture and Kagoshima, Munakata and Oshima Island. For my next trip will spend more time in Fukuoka. I took a bus tour to have a view of the city. The first half was interesting, going over the famous bridge and seeing the waterfront. But the second half was boring. Just looking at traffic.Guest review byMargaret Ai Ling - 10

Our goal was to explore the northern part of Kyushu and Shimonoseki. It was really fun to see the clear difference from Kanto or Kansai area and as we arrived after the mid autumn festival time, most cities were extremely comfortable getting around.Guest review byHae inSouth Korea - 10

Itoshima is a quiet beachside community. If you like getting off the beaten track you may like this. We visited Shiraito Falls - loved the waterfalls, nature and campfire on a cooler day; and Natty Dread - a quirky, creative restaurant serving up the best burgers and overlooking the bay.Guest review byPeterAustralia - 8.0

Yanagawa is famous for its Unagi i e grilled eels with a sweet soya sauce. It also has a beautiful canal and you can take a trip down the canal on a boat . It feels like the Venice of Japan. It is a small township and you can walk around the canal to the little shops and eateries. It is far from the bustling cities of Japan and has its own charm.Guest review byVivienneNew Zealand - 10

We were super happy with everything regarding our stay. Our room was very well thought-out with beautiful touches and the private onsen was just perfect. The staff were amazing and the setting of the place was very beautiful. I recommend biking around the area as there are lots of gems to be found like hidden Shinto shrines.Guest review byYasCanada - 4.0

Fukuoka is definitely a gem for travellers - from city area to country sides. Locals are friendly and the attractions I visited were wholesome and eye opening. The food especially ramen was good. Transportation-wise, it is fairly easy to navigate around Fukuoka, we have the bus / train / JRs / even walking. It is recommended to adjust your pace for your travelling schedule to avoid being burnout - You will walk a lot during your trip.Guest review byJunyong - 10
