The dinner was meticulously prepared, perfectly cooked, and pleasant to the eyes and mouth at the same time. The taste and quality of the foods were comparable to those of Michelin stars restaurants. The hotel is in walking distance to the Kairakuen garden one of the 3 great gardens of Japan. It’s a must see in our opinion and the traditional house in the garden is beautiful. The room was small but comfortable, as always the beds are firm. The breakfast was excellent, they will make you eggs, 3 different ways so they are nice and warm. The other selections are mostly Japanese but the croissants were great warmed up in the toaster oven. We asked for a room with a view and it was fine. There is a 7/11 downstairs. The trains run frequently and there are several places to find great food around the station and deeper in the city. Take note of the carpark if driving. The carpark is a multi storey block behind the hotel. Only available from level 3 onwards. We parked at level 4 and fprtunately there was a lift that brought us to level 3, which is the street level leading to hotel.
