- From US$230.10 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.2Very good - What previous guests thought, 509 reviewsI haven't written a long review before but this one will be, because my heart is full. Tokashiku Marine Village is set on the most wondrous location, directly on Tokashiku Beach. White sand, clear water and a delightful kerama blue ocean with the most spectacular sunset view. Take a dip and swim with tropical fish and magical turtles. Then, take your trash with you, and keep the home of your new friends alive and healthy. The staff at Marine Village were absolutely lovely. Attentive, service-minded, joyful and kind. The hotel offer free shuttle bus to the port, and to Aharen Beach by request. They rent out equipment for various water activities. There is a small shop in the lobby with necessities: beverages, instant noodles, snacks, beach wear and souvenirs. I had breakfast and dinner daily. It is buffet style and the dishes vary from day to day. It was simple and great. (Hope they will consider offering more vegetarian options some day.) I stayed for five nights in the japanese style room with sea view. The hotel would benefit from renovation but I couldn't care less. You're on Tokashiki aka heaven. Grateful. I had the most sensational time. Thank you so much!Guest review byMariaNorway
- From US$151.90 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.1Superb - What previous guests thought, 567 reviewslittle hotel in Aharen. big tatami room with very comfy futons. staff is super friendly, very very helpful. obrigadinho Lais! they will pick you up at Tokashiki port and transfer you back when leaving. the breakfast was included and quite different to anything we ever had for breakfast, incl. fish and soup and local specialities. unfortunately we had to leave one day earlier because of sea conditions affecting the speed liner back to Naha and the boss accepted to refund the last night. top! very close to the beautiful beach (also spotted a humpback breaching not far away from the beach) and to a lovely little food corner called Tokashiki Parlor.Guest review byferroquattroItaly
- From US$184.92 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.6Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 320 reviewsEverything was very nice. Located in the main village on Zamami, very close to restaurants and about 1.5 km from both biggest /nicest beaches. Room was spacious, clean, cozy and super comfy. Personeel was helpful, nice and no muzz no fuzz. After check out you can still use facilities of the guesthouse, like showers and wc. Breakfast is available and so are snorkeling tours.Guest review byMikelNetherlands

One minute from breathtaking Aharen beach. Staff is extremely lovely, welcoming, caring and professional. Rooms very simple 4.5 tatami rooms. Very maritime activity orientated. Breakfast and dinner was lovely too! I definitely come back again.Guest review byDanielGermany

Beautiful small island with lots of breathtaking places and spots for snorkeling. The further you move from the Zamami village the more quiet is gets. We went to the more remoted beaches to walk around and were the only people there for couple of hours. Most of the places are easily accessible by bike that can be rented either at hotel or in the main village. There are few restaurant, but always book a table. Often they don't accept guests without reservation, likely due to portion limitations.Guest review byHorakova - 8.0

I was there for five days (planned for seven days to include five days of diving), and my stay was cut short by the threat of a typhoon. Tokashiki is quiet - you have to make your own activities, which are water-based. We found a couple of exceptional restaurants and a food truck with great vibes. Lots of friendly locals.Guest review byPaulaCanada - 10.0

Akemi was such a wonderful host.. she picked us up from the ferry and dropped us off on our return back. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Her place was comfortable and had everything we needed. She even has a restaurant close by and another food spot by Ama beach where we were able to get food and snacks. She served delicious, authentic food at her restaurant and I think she was also the chef! Will definitely stay here again!Guest review byArleneUnited States - 10.0
Zamami is quiet and very natural.
Zamami is quiet and very natural. We stayed near the port and there are two nice beaches within walking distance. The town is very quiet ad peaceful. we rented scooters and drove around the island - a great way to see spectacular views. I recommend 3 nights. Be sure to book restaurants for dinner as its a small town and the restaurants fill up quickly. We really enjoyed eating at the hotel but would have liked to have tried a few other places too. The Mexican truck was a great place for lunch (no reservations needed).Guest review byjacqueline - 10.0

The beach here really is one of the best in Japan, maybe one of the best in the world. Crabs and coral and beautiful seashells everywhere. It's so natural. Beautiful white sand and blue sea. Best of all is under the water. Coral gardens, colorful fish, sea turtlesGuest review byChristopherJapan - 6.0

The local authorities definitely need to figure out these two obvious issues including the overprice to tourists and the depression of local residents. Local people are super reluctant to do businesses like always closed restaurants and rude shop owner in furuzamami beach.Guest review by鲁西西China - 10.0
Tokashiki is the largest of the Kerama Islands.
Tokashiki is the largest of the Kerama Islands. There are some great spots for swimming, snorkeling, and diving from the shore, but a boat trip will be required for some of the other spots, particularly the northern portion of the island. The roads are narrow, but it's worth touring around the island on some of the back roads for the various views and wildlife.Guest review byJarrodUnited Kingdom
