- From US$329.55 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.7Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 6,634 reviewsWonderful stay with a beautiful sea view! I had an amazing stay at the Kobe Meriken Park Oriental Hotel. The sea view room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable — perfect for relaxing and unwinding. The hotel is quiet and peaceful, making it a great place to clear your mind and just enjoy the moment. The breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of options, both Japanese and Western styles — a great way to start the day. The staff were kind, helpful, and professional, making the whole experience even more pleasant. There’s a FamilyMart just downstairs, and even a small spot to grab fresh paper and pens, which I found very thoughtful. Transportation was also convenient — it’s a short walk from the nearest station and close to the harbor area, perfect for sightseeing. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Kobe. It’s ideal for those looking for comfort, convenience, and a peaceful atmosphere with a stunning sea view.Guest review byzhangQatar
- From US$125.83 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.5Very good - What previous guests thought, 5,006 reviewsArt Hotel was so conveniently located that there was a metro station connected right to it so easy to get to anywhere in Osaka. So whether you come in by train or flight, you can take the subway with your bags right to the hotel. It also had a mall at the tower with a grocery store, Daiso and other stores, which was awesome. We got a sky room and couldn't have been happier! the view from both sides of the tower is amazing! Each sunrise and sunset was stunning, right in your room! Room was clean and comfy. They even have daily clean up, and they replenish all amenities incl water, which was nice. Price was really good compared to other hotels and what the hotel offered. There is an onsen in the tower as well and cheaper price for guests.Guest review byDamintha GunasekeraUnited States

Our rooms had a great view of Lake Biwa and we took a wonderful stroll along the lakeside in the morning. We had breakfast and dinner in the hotel. They had a wide variety of tasty food there while a number of other restaurants and cafes were within walking distance as well.Guest review byWWei TanMalaysia

The hotel also has restaurants and bars which looked great, unfortunately we didn't get a chance to try them due to busy schedule.Guest review byZhujing DaiNetherlands

Osaka is just another big city, like New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles. It doesn't quite offer the same Japanese charm that you feel in Kyoto, or even in some regions of Tokyo. The Dontonbori in the evenings is very busy, as is the Shinbashi Street Shopping District. There are tons of restaurants and shops. Expo 2025 was in progress, and although we were interested in attending, many people we met who had been there said it wasn't what they expected, with too many visitors on some days, reaching over 250,000. We did visit Universal Studios Japan, which was great, but the lines were anywhere from 60 - 120 minutes. Have patience if you choose to go!Guest review byPamelaUnited States - 10.0

Kyoto is a very beautiful City to visit. We enjoyed very much exploring Kyoto. Beautiful city with a lot of history. It is was very interesting to see places like ; Fushimi Inari , Kinkaku-ji Temple, Ginkakuji Shrine, go on Philosopher's Walk , Nanzen-ji, Arashiyama Monkey Park Iwatayama , Arashiyama Bamboo Park plus many more places.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0
Kobe is a great city to visit.
Kobe is a great city to visit. A vibrant, buzzing and cosmopolitan city with memorable features such as the ropeway to the herb garden at the JR Shin Kobe Station at Sannomiya (an absolute must for visitors), the Maya cable car and ropeway and the Akashi bridge to Awaji Island.Guest review byPeterAustralia - 10.0
Nara is beautiful.
Nara is beautiful. There are two UNESCO world heritage sites and lots of deer. If you are afraid of animals, I don't recommend it. The deer will follow you if you have food and they may try to take it from you if you hesitate or don't gently push them away. They are not, as a general rule, aggressive. A lot of tourists freak out and just throw their crackers. Don't do that. Stay calm. The deer don't want to hurt you, they just want a snack. They don't care for being pet either. Just snap your crackers (200 yen sold at different stands) into 3-4 pieces, hold out your hand flat and let them take it from you. Be aware of how many are around you. They will surround and nibble your clothing. I found this hilarious. I grew up with cows and they will pretty much do the same thing. Use your voice and be gentle. The one day bus pass is really useful. I wish I had more time in Nara.Guest review bySarahUnited States - 10.0

We only stayed one night when we arrived as we needed a place to recharge and freshen up before we head to Kyoto. The hotel is very nice with complete amenities in the room. The room we occupied has the view of the airport runway but we never heard any noise coming from the airplanes arriving and taking off. A bit expensive but it was worth it. Breakfast buffet was very good too.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0

Great city. I enjoyed visiting this city, especially the Himeji Castle. This was the third times I visit Himeji Castle. Public transportation was convenient. I would recommend spending at least two full days at this city.Guest review byC.-C.Taiwan - 10.0

The scenic mountains near the city offers stunning sunset views. The Sakura were in full bloom. There are several parks around the city, and the impressive Wakayama castle. The hotel (Candeo Hotels Nankai) is great value - fantastic river views, rooftop onsen that you can enjoy the sunset. And right at the Wakayama Station. Good dining options around the hotel too.Guest review byKwokSingapore - 10.0

One of Japan's six ancient kiln towns. If you are into ceramics it's a brilliant place to visit. If you're not, it's a lovely, relaxed town with nice walks and good places to eat. Very close to Nagoya airport. There is a free shuttle bus into Tokoname or use the station. Home of the lucky waving cat - Maneki Neko!Guest review byCerysUnited Kingdom - 10.0

We are Americans so we had really little knowledge of Shirahama as a resort city. It was at the tail end of a 3 week tour of Japan and was very restful. Fortunately, we were there after Golden Week and before the main tourist season, so it was quiet and relaxing. We had fun over two nights at a local Turkish restaurant, Blue Bar. We'd recommend it. Also, the beach seemed quite nice although we had one day or rain so we didn't hang out there. While this wouldn't be a regular stop for Americans, I think it is worthwhile and an easy train ride to the airport in Osaka.Guest review byAndrew - 10.0
We loved our trip here.
We loved our trip here. Little did I know, I seem to enjoy travelling in a pretty laid-back city and Ise was just perfect for that. If you're craving for a small city experience, out from the other international travelers, I'd recommend Ise for sure.Guest review byRizki Dwi KelimutuIndonesia
