- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.4Superb - What previous guests thought, 338 reviewsThis room was amazing!! We were upgraded upon arrival, the room was gorgeous, big, with a Tatami area, a wooden bath and very very stylish. Highlight for me was the view of itsukushima shrine from the room! The onsen in the roof was wonderful! The staff were so kind and friendly, seemed genuinely curious about us. If you come to Miyagima stay here! You won't regret it!Guest review byLaurenIsrael
- From US$1,448.85 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.0Very good - What previous guests thought, 1,341 reviewsWhile it’s just a 10 minutes walk there’s a bus well marked right by the station that takes you there. Great view over the bay. Half-board was very well served. Good bed, spacious room. Good toiletries. Staff supportive. Bus driver very friendly. :-) Spend enough time on island and do a hike there up to Mt. Misen.Guest review byMartinSwitzerland

The main reasson to visit was the Itsukushima Shrine but there was plenty of other shrines and temples to visit. The ropeway to Mt, Misen was great. The hike down not so much (not a trail, mainly steps - hard on the knees.Guest review byDeanUnited States - 10.0

Miyajima was great for walking around and doing the ropeway to the top. A lot of little eateries and street food- good if you like seafood. Scenic with the giant Tori gate and shrines, woods, deer walking around. Miyajima was one of my favorite spots on our trip to Japan.Guest review byMarciaUnited States - 10.0

It does get busy during the day when lots of tourists come over by ferry for the day however we hired bikes and managed to stay clear of the crowds for the most part. The Island becomes very quite in the evening which is perfect, I would advise that you book a restaurant as lots of the island closes around 5-6pm so anything that is open later gets booked up. We were very lucky to just get the last free table on two occasions. Also the deer wandering around especially in the dusk and evening before al the ferries drop off are enchanting, however they are not like the deer in Nara park and there are lots of signs that remind people not to feed or bother the deer, not everyone follows these rules which is disappointing.Guest review byDonnaUnited Kingdom
