- From $241.51 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.5Very Good - What previous guests thought, 1,154 reviewsThe location was superb (just next door Nara JR Station, next to bus station, 7Eleven downstair, and located midcity), we got upgraded room, they have free cocktail bar and coffee, also onsen (hotwater spring), the breakfast was excellent only for 1000 yen, the room is clean and super spacious, the amenities are complete, the reception speaks good English and very polite, the check-in and check-out process were smooth (especially c/o because we only need to put magnet sign at the door). Our overall experience was awesome!Guest review byChristine Henny LydiaIndonesia
- From $105.86 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.2Very Good - What previous guests thought, 106 reviewsThe staff at Hotel Nosegawa was amazing. I casually asked if there was anywhere I could get oatmeal and soy milk and the next day when I came down, they had gone all the way into Koyasan and got me oatmeal and soy milk. Wow, I was shocked, that was above and beyond and totally unexpected. Such a generous group. The public bath was clean and enjoyable. In addition, the free shuttle to Koyasan was super convenient. We really loved our stay and would highly recommend it.Guest review byLynneUnited States

I didn’t check closing times of temples and it was hard to determine the last buses back from further out locations. I did end up having a nice evening walk along a riverside to find a train station to come back into town.Guest review byStephanieAustralia - 10.0

Tenri is not as well-known as Nara or Asuka, but the area is dotted with dozens of key-hole shaped kofun, ancient burial mounds. Some are accessible and many are how they have been for hundreds of years.Guest review byBernadetteJapan - 10.0

i liked the Kashihara Jingu and the visit to various burial places of former tenno. on my last day, i visited the Omiwa Jinja; there is an observation hill where you could watch the sunset over Kashihara city. walking around town however, you can notice the signs of declining population and abandoned shops. there are a few good ramen shops in the area if you know where to find them, like Saika Ramen, highly recommended for its spicy flavour.Guest review byGaryIndia - 10.0

Nara is beautiful.
Nara is beautiful. There are two UNESCO world heritage sites and lots of deer. If you are afraid of animals, I don't recommend it. The deer will follow you if you have food and they may try to take it from you if you hesitate or don't gently push them away. They are not, as a general rule, aggressive. A lot of tourists freak out and just throw their crackers. Don't do that. Stay calm. The deer don't want to hurt you, they just want a snack. They don't care for being pet either. Just snap your crackers (200 yen sold at different stands) into 3-4 pieces, hold out your hand flat and let them take it from you. Be aware of how many are around you. They will surround and nibble your clothing. I found this hilarious. I grew up with cows and they will pretty much do the same thing. Use your voice and be gentle. The one day bus pass is really useful. I wish I had more time in Nara.Guest review bySarahUnited States - 10.0
Nara Koen (park) is a beautiful place.
Nara Koen (park) is a beautiful place. Todaiji and Kasuga Kaisha is located nearby. The Sarusawa Ike (pond) behind the Nara Park leads to shopping place. One can spend whole day around Nara. - Beware of the deer, they might get a bit aggressive when offering food. - It gets crowded during on-season.Guest review byLopa
