Our room was an upgrade, except we could not get an upgraded room with one big bed. We had to take two twin beds. My wife and I have not slept separately in years, hahaha. It was definitely exceeded expectation from A to Z. - Pick up from Kawaguchiko station: driver was friendly and punctual. - Check-in: handled seamlessly from the moment we stepped down the mini bus. A dedicated staff walked us through all the facilities before taking us to the room - Activities: * Complimentary tea and snack at the tea house overlooking the beautiful garden was great. * Open air onsen looking directly at the fuji mountain was exceptional, even though it was covered by cloud on my day of visit * Dining in our room (i think 9 course meal) was delivious and luxurious * Room: from bath room to bedroom to dining room to private open air onsen, everything was just perfect Love everything about this place. Wish i stayed longer. Hope i can visit again.

The most thoughtful and kind staff we've met in Japan yet. The room had the most comfy beds and high quality, eco friendly amenities, and a amazing view of Yamanashi and Mount Fuji. The hotel is very charming and has an ample public bath with many shower heads and the best massage machine I've ever used (¥100 each 5 min). If you plan to visit the nearby Hottarakashi onsen, the staff will kindly lend you towels and schedule a taxi (it cost around ¥3000 the round trip). My husband and I stayed for only one night, but we wish we'd stayed at least 3 nights to enjoy more of Fruits Park. Will definitely come back!!

We stayed at the cottage B. It is a very spacious place with 3 bathrooms including one large bathroom with jacuzzi bathtube. There are 4 sleeping room. One sleeping room in the second floor having a window that you can see fuji mountain, the city and lake. The kitchen is large and having enough space and facility to cook for I thing 20 persons. Large areas for barbecue. The hotel has shuttle bus to take you to nearby supermarket to buy food! Our family really enjoyed the time we stayed.

The owner was very helpful and she went the extra mile to make our stay comfortable. She provided kitchen condiments when we reached which was very thoughtful. Later she dropped us at the bus station in her car. The location was beautiful and serene. We could see Mount Fuji from every place in house.

For a single room it was fairly spacious compared to other single rooms I've had before. The whole bathroom is higher which is a little weird but not a problem, maybe if you're elderly this would be an issue, otherwise the room was fine, comfy bed.

Lake Yamanaka is such a pretty place - Mt. Fuji never showed her face during our stay for the icon lake photos but it didn’t take away from the magic. The little town just 20 mins away by bus from our domes was super cute, filled with history, culture, and more shopping.

Hokuto is a bit of an off-the-beaten-track destination, perfect for a weekend or even 3 or four days. Surrounded by beautiful nature, it's a great place for hikers - since it's located at the base of the Yatsugatake mountain range. The adventurers can go explore the hiking trails and waterfalls, but also there are charming cafes, art galleries and international cuisine restaurants splattered in the area. I would avoid going there by car on a Saturday morning, because the Chuo Express Road gets packed and it may take up to six hours to get there from Tokyo (the normal is 2 hours). So if you can, go on a weekday.
