Very nice, place, about 10 minutes walk from the center of Arugam Bay, but they provide free bicycles, so it’s relatively easy to get there. The bungalows are spacious and comfortable, breakfast is filling enough and they provide free yoga sessions every day and also surfing lessons (cost is similar to that in the city).

Everything was perfect, and as always, everything started and ended with the people. Catherine and Michel are amazing people, with a huge heart and a big smile. Always ready to help, with good advice and help with the surfboards, renting a bike, renting a tuk-tuk or any other matter that makes an ordinary vacation so amazing. Another thing, the hotel staff, smiling, polite and kind. It is clear that the place is so important to them as if it were their own home. The place is meticulously cared for down to the smallest detail and this, in my experience, is extremely rare in Sri Lanka. The cabins are cozy, air-conditioned and ventilated. The beds are extremely comfortable, the showers are spacious and partially exposed to the sky and the coconut halves scattered around. Hot water 24/7 is simply magic. The pool is simply amazing, pleasant and clean at all times, spotless. The location - on the pottuvil Point strip and within walking distance of the point itself, which is one of the best in Sri Lanka. Even beginners will enjoy this beach. Even those who do not surf and want to relax will greatly enjoy the special and quiet location. The restaurant is run by a local family and serves varied and delicious food at completely reasonable prices and with meticulous service. You can eat in the restaurant or next to the room. In conclusion, my brother and I stayed at the hotel for 7 nights and I have no doubt that we will return to this magical place again. This hotel is brand new, so everything feels clean, fresh, and modern. The facilities are excellent — each room has a lovely outdoor chill-out area, and the garden adds a nice relaxing touch. The staff were incredibly kind and accommodating, which made the stay even more enjoyable. Highly recommended!

The hotel is absolutely new. Our room was spacious, fresh, and very clean, with a nice and well-maintained bathroom. If I ever visit Arugam Bay again, I would definitely stay here again — out of all the hotels in this price range, this one is the best! The hotel is run by a very polite and kind family who made us feel welcome. The location was excellent — on the main road, within walking distance to cafes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and just a 10-minute tuk-tuk ride to the beach, but you can also walk to it (20 minutes) It was quiet at night, and we had a very peaceful stay. There’s also a lake next to the hotel, where elephants sometimes come to drink — a beautiful sight to witness. All guest rooms are located on the second floor. They also plan to open a restaurant soon on the ground floor.

The most amazing stay highly recommended!* ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I stayed at *Doppel Gangs* in Arugam Bay and had the most unforgettable experience. The hotel is in the *perfect location* close enough to the main road (just a 1-minute walk!) to access everything easily, but tucked away enough to enjoy peace and quiet without the crowds and noise. The hotel is *by far the cleanest* I’ve stayed at in Sri Lanka, with daily housekeeping that keeps everything fresh. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. There’s also a *really nice pool*, perfect for relaxing after a day at the beach. But what truly made this stay exceptional was the *incredible staff*, especially *Hibed*. We were a group of 8 girls and one boy, and from the moment we arrived, Hibed went *above and beyond* to make us feel safe, welcomed, and cared for. His kindness, thoughtfulness, and attentiveness were beyond anything we expected. He was always there to help whether it was organizing *tuk tuk rides* at *any time, to any place, with any notice*, fixing a ripped pair of pants with a local seamstress, or surprising us with freshly made yogurt. Every little thing he did added to the magic of our stay. I’ve stayed at many hotels around the world, but I’ve *never* encountered a staff that had such a genuine impact on my overall experience. *Thank you, Doppel Gangs, for an incredible stay. We’ll never forget it.* Can't wait to come back!

Our stay at Beach Wave Hotel has been the best experience we've had on our holiday. The room is very comfortable, and has a lovely balcony with hammoch (beach view) which is perfect to relax in after a long day out. The location was excellent, it is a 05 second walk to the beach and is ideally located to all necessary amenities, e.g. restaurants , bars, supermarkets, ATMs, etc. Our experience would not have been possible without Beach Waves extremely kind and tireless host, Naleem, who is attentive to his guests' every needs. Silmir organised our travel to Arugam Bay, and to the airport, he also arranged for our surf lessons, and the excursions we were interested in. SIlmir does not overcharge or take a commission on any of these services, he simply provides you the best price and best person for the job. We surfed with the best surf school in Arugam Bay, and he was even kind enough to assist with getting a special massage for my partner's sprained ankle. Highly recommend this place and Value for the stay! Beach Wave Hotel is really the only option to choose when deciding where to stay in Arugam Bay!

    Hotel Review – Arugambay Location: The hotel is perfectly located in Arugambay, close to nearby shops, the beach, IMC Medical Center, and surfing shops — making it super convenient to get anything you need at any time. Room Quality: I stayed in a Deluxe Room — it was super clean, spacious, and extremely comfortable. The view was amazing, surrounded by natural forest which added a peaceful and relaxing vibe. Food and Dining: They offered a different style of breakfast every day, along with fresh juice. The taste was absolutely delicious and satisfying. Service and Cleanliness: Both the room and bathroom were exceptionally clean, and the entire property was well-maintained. The staff were active 24/7, always friendly and helpful. Facilities: Free high-speed fiber Wi-Fi was available, and it worked perfectly. The hotel also offers good parking space and room service 4 out of 7 days a week. Value for Money: Definitely worth the price — clean rooms, great location, and exceptional service all for a reasonable rate. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Arugambay — for comfort, cleanliness, location, and hospitality.

    My sister and I recently had the pleasure of staying at the aprota villas and we had an absolutely wonderful time. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm smiles. We booked an chalet which was well-maintained room, with a beautiful view, made us feel really comfortable. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay special, from accommodating our requests to offering helpful suggestions for things to do in the area. We enjoyed a delightful meal at the villa, where the food was not only delicious but also served with exceptional care. Overall, our stay at The Aprota villas was a memorable experience. We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to the staff for their excellent service and to the hotel for providing a perfect setting for our getaway. We look forward to returning in the future.

    We loved our time in Arugam Bay thanks to the kind and helpful staff at Roccos! Beautifully presented hotel right on the beach, with a large clean pool and sun loungers around it and on the beach for private hotel usage. The rooms were simple but comfortable with fans and AC and everything you need for your stay. Everything was kept immaculate and clean and we could ask for fresh towels and sheets as often as we liked. The hotel staff also provided you with towels for the pool / beach, welcome drink on arrival, accommodated our request for a early check in, and arranged for a special meal close by as we had just got engaged. Would definitely recommend and hope to come back soon!

    This is a beautiful beach villa, colonial style, with a lot of privacy. Wonderful location, really excluded, fantastic views. Great and very helpful staff. Rooms are spacious, well equipped, very clean, so are the bathrooms. We had there everything we needed. Tasty and full breakfasts. You can eat lunch and dinner at the villa and I don't agree that they are overpriced, as some guests mentioned in their opinions. Dishes were tasty and various, priced as in an average restaurant in Arugam Bay. Overall, I wish I could come back here one day, maybe in a larger group to have the villa for our own.

    A great hotel right on the beach front! Rooms were clean and spacious. The staff are amazing and really helpful. We did surf lessons through the hotel which were great - I’d recommend malé as your surf instructor any day. Within walking distance to the Main Street, loads of great food options available.     You are more likely to meet a European than a local here.

    You are more likely to meet a European than a local here. This is definately not a reflection on Sri Lankan culture, however the beach town is slow and quiet (realtively speaking) and there are plenty of shops and restaurants. And of coure, the surf is consistent and the water warm. It's a winner for a beach holiday.

    The best feature of Arugam Bay is the surrounding jungle, lakes and lagoons. The main beach is very busy but other beaches, such as Peanut Farm are less crowded, Do thye Lagoon Safari and a park safari but also try surfing and relaxing on the beach.
