Everything about the property was just quaint and lovely. The room was so cute and quaint, the property was gorgeous in the middle of this lush forest. So remote, I could hear the peacocks somewhere on the property. There’s a lovely sitting area outside of the room with a Koi pond. There were chairs in the patio to just relax on. The room was so cozy and beautiful! The bathroom was massive and gorgeous. The staff were so sweet and helpful.

I loved the friendliness and helpfulness of the host and his family. He was able to help us arrange transportation to/from the guesthouse and also the safari jeep. The location is very quiet despite being by the main road. It’s located some distance from the safari but still relatively close by. we managed to see the elephant and even a leopard! The room itself was clean and well planned, all the basic amenities were provided for us.

The staff was exceptionally kind and helpful. The food was great. They make the best safari tours and we felt that they are much better than the other operators. The vehicles are perfect for photographers and wildlife lovers and the guides are very knowledgeable and will do the impossible so you don't miss your chance at seeing leopards, bears and elephants. The Vacation we had in RAJARATA HOTEL - ANURADHAPURA is superb, This was my second stay there and it was great again - I visited Rajarata Hotel with My Family -They loved it too. Beds were comfortable, Rooms and bathrooms were superb clean - Room Services and Reception Staff was very good - For my father's birthday i told the hotel i want to give him a surprise and they arranged it so well - WOW ... Great support. Thank you for your service so much - Must say I ordered lunch from their Alar Cart Menu and they had great varieties where food were tasty and restaurant staff was so helpful and respectful. Had breakfast Buffet - It was superb with some good Varieties to select - Thanks again -Loved our stay at Rajarata Hotel & Will come again for sure.

The staff! Fabulous team from ManoRanjan, Sumith, Askana, and Chathu for our dinner service and breakfast. Super attentive and always help to tailor our experience, little touches like getting pineapple for my young daughter, that any small request was no trouble. It’s the little things that really do make a difference and the team are so hospitality. Chef Praveen Perera also made some local cucumber salad and local seer fish for my mother in law, as it’s her favourite dishes. Pool attendant Anthony was so kind in ensuring my children were safe and attended to every need. Lakmal at Tuskers Bar was super attentive too. Thank you for being so kind and helpful, you made our short stay very special.

What made our stay really memorable is the staff, from front desk agents, to waiters at the restaurants, to the guys driving us around with buggies, to people servicing our room. They have been amazingly kind and hospitable with us. It is difficult to pick one in particular, but if we have to name one we would say Kusal, who on our last day came especially to pick us from the lake and drove us back to the reception. Not only he gave us a small tour but also told us lots of interesting facts about the fishermen and the animals living in the area around the lak

We had the absolute best stay at Mutu Village. My husband and I stayed 2 nights in the Pearl of The Jungle private tree house on the property. Sameera and his staff were extremely welcoming and accommodating. We enjoyed 2 dinners and breakfast each morning- the food was absolutely wonderful… would highly recommend for this alone. Our treehouse was quiet and extremely comfortable. The open air bathroom was nice and clean. We would live at the Mutu village if we could!

During my stay, the property owner made several inappropriate and judgmental comments about my affordability and my decision to share meals with my mother, who is disabled. His behaviour was rude and discriminatory. After I posted my review describing my disappointment, the owner contacted me directly on my personal mobile number using very abusive and offensive language. This message was completely unacceptable and made me feel unsafe.

Anuradhapura is an amazing and spiritual place.

Anuradhapura is an amazing and spiritual place. It's different from the other sites in Sri Lanka because it still attracts so many pilgrims to its religious sites. It's a good idea to dedicate one day to visiting the active pilgrimage sites and the next to the historical sites, for which you need a ticket. Remember to cover up with long trousers and sleeves and don't forget your socks, because the ground is really hot and you have to take off your shoes everywhere. If you have an extra day, you can also return to the sites at night, which is when pilgrims light candles. Make sure you've got the Pick Me app installed and look out for a tuk tuk driver called Nisha. He's absolutely amazing: great driver, kind and attentive and with good English. For dinner, the atmospheric Hotel Shalini is a good bet. The Seedevi family restaurant is another good place. If you want to have a beer, they can put you in a separate 'family' room, or you can go to the tiny 'pub' next door.

Beautiful jungle surrounds. Lots of activities. Safari doesn't tell you about all the extra costs involved. Entry fee big. Tip for animal spotter. The Harabana lake cruise is brilliant. No motor just a gentle paddle, allowing you get up close to wildlife
