- From US$371.76 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.9Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 124 reviewsGreat and very friendly staff in all departments of the hotel. The hotel’s very own naturalists are brilliant and are assisting with everything you need for a successful trip or excursion - water, juices, soft drinks and cool refreshing towels are always part of the service. We enjoyed the big pool for all hotel guests as well as our private pool next to the room which helped us to feel really relaxed. The hotel is a true sanctuary and we enjoyed the nature and natural sounds every second of our stay. A minimum 3 nights stay is highly recommended to have enough time to discover the historic places and the nature in this part of Sri Lanka as well as to relax on property (we stayed 4 nights).Guest review byJonas MaxSwitzerland
- From US$90.86 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.6Good - What previous guests thought, 383 reviewsThe staff was amazing. Specially the boys from restaurant. They were really kind to us. We were late for the breakfast on the day we went on the safari they waited us to come and finish breakfast. I really think the hotel owner should give them an increment. Food was delicious. We had some clothing to get washed. I gave them around 8.00 in the morning. I received all back washed, dried, ironed and folded by 12.30. very kind people including the reception. The hotel arranged us the safari for a reasonable price. The driver was the most kind safari driver I have ever met. We have been to other places too. But didn't meet a person who care for the animals this much. Had the best day. Thank you.Guest review byGiordanoItaly
- From US$441.32 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.9Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 112 reviewsBreathtaking location, well worth going out the way to visit here. we felt like we'd arrived in paradise which I don't say lightly, it was like nothing we'd ever seen before. The views are incredible, the facilities are luxurious and relaxing, the restaurant serves food to a very high standard and the staff were incredibly accommodating. There's a wide range of activities which you can do at the lodge, from cooking courses through to hikes and some self-care (full spa treatments). The staff truly went above and beyond to accommodate our needs specially the meals as my wife and me are vegetarians. We'd come back to Sri Lanka just to visit the resort again.Guest review bySanchitUnited Arab Emirates

You can ride bike around the rice field and lake. If you’re lucky see an elephant. The woman at the elephant centre was very nice and we learnt a lot! I am glad we stop for a chat. The diner experience was amazing! We booked the traditional diner with 27 dishes cooked traditionally in clay pot and open fire. I recommend this hotel!Guest review byYohannAustralia

Our visit to Kandy was truly wonderful, offering a perfect blend of cultural heritage, natural beauty, and modern convenience. The city is a joy to explore, and we found it remarkably easy to get around. One of the highlights of our trip was visiting the iconic Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic (Maligawa) and taking a relaxing stroll around the picturesque Kandy Lake. We also loved exploring the serene Udawatte Kele Sanctuary, which felt like a peaceful escape. For those interested in the region's history, the Hanthana Tea Museum and the Kandy Wax Museum were both fascinating, and the Peradeniya Botanical Gardens were an absolute must-see with their stunning and diverse flora. The dining scene in Kandy was delightful. For lunch, we enjoyed a delicious and authentic meal at the Sri Ramya Hotel in town. For a special evening, we had dinner at Sams restaurant, which offered not only great food but also a fantastic view of the city. We also grabbed a quick bite at the restaurant on the top floor of KCC, which was very convenient. Getting around the city was surprisingly simple. The PickMe and Uber apps work well, and we found that tuk-tuks are readily available and very affordable, making it easy to hop between different attractions. While traveling without young children, we believe Kandy offers many family-friendly activities. The Hanthana Tea Museum, Kandy Wax Museum, and the beautiful botanical gardens are all engaging spots that would surely be enjoyed by families. Overall, Kandy is an excellent destination that combines rich history with natural charm and practical accessibility. We highly recommend it for any traveler.Guest review bylahiru92Sri Lanka - 10.0
There is so much more to do in this area than I realised.
There is so much more to do in this area than I realised. I will definitely come back. The area is beautiful and we were sad to leave. We dud Pidurangala Rock which was fun, more of an adventurous climb than Lions Rock. It has incredible views of Lions Rock. We also did a safari in Minneriya National Park. The park was beautiful and we saw so many elephants plus lots of varieties of birds, golden jackals, monkees, mongoose, the grizzled giant squirrel, buffalo and jungle foul. We also went to Dambula Temple Caves which is very spiritual and Luckgrove Spice Gardens which was an incredible experience. Highly recommend this area.Guest review byHazelIreland - 8.0

It is one of the best locations, slightly hot and humid, but if you love history and sightseeing, you cannot miss this location, further you can travel to multiple historic locations from here, we travelled to Mihinthale Temple and Mahiyangana, the drive was scenic, but Mihinthale will take your breath.Guest review byMohamed ShazlySri Lanka - 10.0

We chose not to climb Sigiriya (having just recovered from Adam's Peak!) but instead chose the much shorter Pidurangala which afforded a fabulous view of Sigiriya. Highly recommended. A visit to the Bawa hotel, Heritance Kandalama, is well worth it as an insight into the brilliant architectural mind of Geoffrey Bawa.Guest review byImanAustralia - 10.0

Half a day was enough as the sun was out and draining.
Half a day was enough as the sun was out and draining. At the last stop in Polonnaruwa where you have the temple there was a young man sketching and painting. There was also an older gentleman selling Neem & Jamun tree wood containers and tumblers for keeping water in the night and drinking in the morning Neem for better all over health & Jamun for decreasing blood sugar.Guest review byPRATIBHAIndia - 10.0

A beautiful place on earth that there are lots of 360 degree view points. But if it rains it will ruin your plans. So make sure you depend on weatherly and visit Matale when it shows many continuous sunny days. Even on cloudy forecasts do not visit as all mointain tops then will be covered and you will not see the sights. when it is humid leaches also will be active and will become a painful experience.Guest review byUdanaSri Lanka - 10.0

A nice hike to view a breathe taking view. If anyone should travel to Sigiriya they should start to climb the rock at 5.30am as the ticket counters open. Wearing proper hiking or workout clothes would be the best.Guest review byGavin RosayroSri Lanka - 10.0
