Our experience at this property was nothing short of incredible. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and cared for, as though we were guests in a home filled with warmth and charm. This place is unlike any other—a true oasis where you can completely immerse yourself in the vacation spirit. Every detail has been so thoughtfully designed and curated, creating an environment that is both stylish and comfortable. The house has a distinct and beautiful design that blends effortlessly with the natural surroundings, giving it a unique character that made our stay unforgettable. The pool is undoubtedly the cherry on top. After a day exploring the area or even just lounging around, it was the perfect place to unwind, cool off, and enjoy some quiet moments. You could easily spend the entire day here, relaxing and taking in the serene atmosphere. The location is also excellent—just a stone's throw away from Galle Fort and within a very short distance of the beach, offering the best of both worlds. Whether you’re looking to explore the historic sights, soak in the vibrant local culture, or simply relax by the sea, everything is conveniently close. Our stay exceeded all expectations. The level of care and attention from the staff was impeccable—they were well-trained, friendly, and attentive to our every need. It’s evident that they take pride in making every guest feel at home, and it truly elevated our experience. On top of all this, the accommodations themselves were outstanding. The rooms were spotless and beautifully furnished, creating a space that was both elegant and inviting. This wasn’t just a stay; it was an experience that made us feel completely rejuvenated. This is by far the best accommodation we’ve had in all our travels across Asia. I recommend this property to anyone planning a visit to Galle, you won’t regret it. And as for us, this has become a must-visit destination, and we’ll definitely be returning whenever we’re back in Galle.

After just two days of my stay, I decided to extend my stay for another a few days. In fact, I felt like at home, far from home. The hotel has incredibly tasteful interiors. The very high level of service at the boutique hotel makes you actually feel special. ;)) I would like to thank the staff! The team of young guys takes care of guests without any complaints. It is wonderful stylish villa as expected. Located in the heart of this historic and iconic city, we enjoyed strolling to see the sunrise and sunset and exploring the beautiful shops. The staff were very nice and helpful. Mr. Azwan arranged a car charter. It was actually trustworthy because the driver is smart enough with a beautiful TOYOTA car. If you have any plan to do that, please ask the hotel they arrange you with a best value.

To start with the property - Ideally situated in the heart of Bentota with an excellent architecture having a serene and captivating view! 2. The staff - Every staff member we encountered, from the check- in to the cleaning staff were delightful and eager to help! Thank you for the exquisite food and special Biryani and Chicken curry -Chef Deepal De Alwis, Manager Mahesh for considerations and our special requests and complimentary beverages., At the Reception - Niroshan, Tanya and Janani for decorating and upgrading our room to pent house. 3. The room- The dreamy view one would always wish for when staying in a beach facing room. Panaromic view which faced the pool and the beach. The breezy winds and blessing of blooms could be witnessed from the room. 3. The food- Unmatched flavours of the continent and Lanka ! The taste lingers on till the next meal. Well prepared meals with beautiful presentation. The cozy restaurant has left the best impressions! Well, Hospitable hosts, delicious dishes, beautiful presentation, wide spread and wonderful dessert. We recommend it to everyone! I would like to come back here repeatedly!!!

    This hotel is a pure sweet spot: a combination beautiful sandy beach with nice ocean view through palm trees, excellent and well-trained staff, huge variety of very tasty food, comfortable rooms and excellent management with focus on sustainability. We booked a room with breakfast and intended to dine outside, however upon our arrival a hotel manager Mr Fernando warmly welcomed us and recommended to try dinner buffet... And we did - the best experience (both breakfast and dinner) comparing 5 hotels in Sri-Lanka we visited during our 3 weeks vacation. Additional compliment to the way the hotel is managed - exceptional level of service, safety, sustainability and attention to the guests needs. I can't put in a review all the things we're positevely surprised with this hotel - it far exceeded our expectations, definitely recommend to stay here!

    It is fantastic place! We like everything so much! Incredible view on the beautiful ocean from all point of the hotel. Huge room and all necessary and modern inside (including coffee machine), comfortable bed, bathroom on open air, amazing terrace where you can enjoy the view. Very friendly and welcomed stuff. Very tasty food and drinks in the restaurant. The restaurant as all hotel has amazing ocean view. Waitress Iresha was very kind and professional, she recommended us ideal options for our lunch and dinner and treated us with great warmth and health. We asked for late check-out and the hotel provided it to us without any additional cost. We highly recommend this wonderful place to all!!!

    The hotel lobby is just breath taking, this hotel was chosen as a relaxation stop , which really did that, Our room was facing the sea in the first building what a super view we could hear the waves crashing on the shore, Had a great meal then went to listen to the saxophone player at the Bar he was superb what a talent, Their was also an artist selling his paintings so purchased 2 as it was his last night their .Breakfast was plentiful something for everyone , my son even managed a massage before we left.     Loved the view from the balcony and the scenery from the beach. The rooms were really clean and tidy and we loved spending quality time in the pool. We loved the entertainment at night.( the live show was perfect for the night stay) . For dinner we ate from the restaurant and the food was delicious. The breakfast buffet was amazing and we loved the two sides of Srilankan and English breakfast. We really enjoyed our stay in the Citrus Hotel and we will definitely come back.     Area is lovely. Jungle pools are clean and so much fun and this place is so nice and quiet away from the traffic. Lot of people during day but mornings and afternoon we had the whole poolarea for ourselves. Ravi the owner upgraded is to a bigger villa last night and also have us an intereresting tour in the garden! We highly recommend some days here if you visit the west coast of Sri lanka!!     If you're going to Galle, stay inside the Fort. Lots of charming little villas and boutique hotels where you can drop your bags and go walkabout, soaking in the colonial charm and enjoying the relaxed vibe. Great food options, live music and incredible sunsets.

    All sea view rooms and the room we stayed in was very spacious . A few minutes walk to jungle beach. The staff was friendly and even made arrangements to get our meals sorted. There is a kitchen and if we bring the raw materials we can even cook on our own , just need to pay them for the space we use. Over all I enjoyed unwatuna because it was conveniently located too.

    Property needs full renovation. Staff needs full training. Needs full cleaning. Food so bad (had dinner & so very disappointed) nothing good to say in any aspect of this hotel. My opinion shouldn’t have any stars

    We did not venture into Bentota.

    We did not venture into Bentota. We are expats living in Colombo so no need to explore the city. The hotel was at the right spot for a 100% relaxing weekend away with no distractions. The ocean is not that swimmable as the sea was very rough and looked dangerous. The pool was a welcome alternative. We drove to Galle for the Saturday to watch the game between Springboks and Kiwis. That was not too far, one hour away and a very scenic route. The hotel was also fully booked so must be popular.

    A little town which is friendly colourful with plenty of shops for anything you need …only issue is that like every town in Sri Lanka there is a problem with waste ( plastic bottles) There are several resteraunts and lots of lovely cake shops :-) Everything is very cheap ..food , tuk tuk , train ..and clothes are an outstanding bargain to any visitor Overall a lovely place for great holiday

    There are so many locations to see.good peoples are around & very safe are. I like the place & the area.i had great time durig the vacation.I guess that threre is 1km around to the beach & also there is a logoon.i have experience the boat safari at the lake. I wish if i could stay few more days to enjoy.

    Great beach, we felt like Robinson Crusoe on the beach, almost just the 2 of us. Visiting Mahdu Lake at 6 a.m. watching the sun goes up. A natural paradise with a lot of birds and other animals. Listening to their different noises. Dining at the Mangrove Cave Restaurant we enjoyed freshest seafood. It was just very tasty.

    My favourite place was the turtle hatchery. Most meals were eaten at the Hotel. Very easy to get around. There is a tour agency opposite the hotel entrance, it cant get any better than that. It is easy to take tuk tuk or van taxis. Superior beach front view. Beautiful gardens and swimming pool. Well done to the management and staff for this top class facility. Local fishermen were easy to approach and social chat with.
