So far it was the best place we stayed in Sri Lanka. We were lucky to be the first guests of this wonderful place. Room is clean, everything is new and it feels very cozy. View is stunning - we didn’t want to go anywhere else Owner and staff are super friendly, helpful and professional We really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend to everyone!

Regarding the room itself, it’s quite spacious, very clean & the bed will offer you the best sleep. The cubes are truly the highlight of our trip around Sri Lanka. The room was clean, spacious, very well equipped and close to Ella center, but in a quiet area. The breakfast was big delicious, it is a putty we could not eat all. One day we tried the Sri Lankan breakfast and it was delicious (spicy, but this means traditional here). Also, the host was very nice and willing to help us with train tickets for Kandy, with taxi for Tangalle. They also have a laundry service at the property which is very good rated (Obey laundry service in Ella). We used it and we liked it, really recommended.

This place is like heaven on earth. Situated on the edge of a cliff. It's like living above clouds. Most spectacular view. View from infinity pool is priceless. rooms are very clean. The food was delicious. Staff was very and welcoming to make your stay feel like you are home. I recommend this hotel to everyone (couples or family). I would definitely go back.

    We are a Belgian family (father and 2 adult children) travelling through Sri Lanka in summer 2023. Looking for a hotel at walking distance from the Horton Plains National Park we ended up in the Hill Safari Tea Estate Hotel. At the Ohiya train station (approx. 5 km from the hotel) we were picked up by the owner, Mr Perera, who was very welcoming and knowledgeable about the site. The hotel, located in a tea plantation, has a fantastic view on the Sri Lankan lowlands (comparable to that at World’s End). Just note that the hotel is quite remotely located and therefore food is taken on site (food is excellent!). We organized a trip to the Horton Plains, going (early morning) by tuktuk and returning by foot (watch out for sunburn on the way back!). We can only be (very) positive about the hotel, the owners, and the staff.

    We stayed for 2 nights in one of the fabulous Forest Pavilions, which was very comfortable and definitely a unique experience. We slept very well surrounded by the jungle sounds, all the furnishings were of a high standard and all the smallest details were taken care of to enhance our stay. The pool area was lovely but unfortunately the spa area was closed otherwise we would have definitely booked a massage. It was particularly lovely to meet the owner over cocktails before dinner who was very informative and told us all about the history of the hotel. The food was also excellent and the staff very professional.

Okreech cottages is a 1 minute walk into the Main Street of Ella which is full of gorgeous restaurants, bars and shops, yet far enough away to not be disturbed by night time revelry.     One of our favourite places in SL, had much more of a town feel. It is touristy but just means lots of place to eat. The hikes are amazing and were one of our favourite parts of our trip. Beware the scammers when going up Ella rock - it's a little confusing to find the path and locals will try to lead you away from the main path to 'guide' you

    Badulla is an up and coming tourist destination. It has much to offer but for now is excellent for those wishing to spend time in the hills and and away from the razzmatazz of Ella or the tried and tested Nuwara Eliya.

    Almost everything.

    Almost everything. Location was close to Horton Plains and the owners arranged a tuk tuk ride for a nominal fee. Lovely surrounding. Food was tasty and ample given. Really worth it. Owners were friendly and made the guests feel at home.

    Ella is a wonderful place to explore.

    Ella is a wonderful place to explore. It’s very clean and has breathtaking views everywhere. The people are kind, the local food is amazing, and it’s perfect for families, friends, or groups. With easy access to Nine Arches Bridge, Little Adam’s Peak, Ella Rock, and tea plantations, it’s an ideal base for a week of sightseeing and adventure.

    Haputale is a breathtaking hill town surrounded by lush tea estates and misty mountains. We stayed at Benito Bungalow by The Serendipity Collection, where the in-house chef prepared fresh and delicious meals every day. The cool climate, scenic views, and peaceful setting made it the perfect place to unwind. It’s quieter and less touristy than other hill stations, which adds to its charm. A true hidden gem in Sri Lanka!

    Even though My stay in Badulla was too short to visit all the beautiful places, the trip to Dunhida waterfall was a great experience, especially for kids. The path to Dunhida might be difficult for someone. I believe it was a very nice experience to walk through the jungle. Once you see the waterfall, you will forget all the tiredness.

    People are really friendly and welcome tourists. City is very small, but attractive. The 9 arches bridge is a place everyone would like to visit. Food available in the restaurants are really testy in a reasonable price. The train ride to ella was a memorable one.

    Most of the activities are outside of main Haputale the hiking is wonderful as was our visit to Lipton's seat and the tour of the tea factory. Main Haputale not really much going on but the hotel was perfect after a long day of hiking.
