The riad is situated in the medina, and is located in a small dark ally which can be hard to find. The staff were helpful and attentive, ensuring a comfortable stay. The rooms were large, combining traditional Moroccan décor with modern amenities. The this hotel does have som inspirations from traditional riads, but is a modern hotel. A great stay.

At Heure Bleue Palais the staff understands what great service is. The experience we had was really exceptional. It started with getting a free upgrade to a Deluxe Suite. The Suite was in one word “great”. Very comfortable and well decorated. All you wanted or needed was there. On daily base we were surprised with nice treats. Also daily breakfast was exceptional of quality. Very complete and diverse with high quality of products. One evening we had dinner in their restaurant. This as well was surprisingly well. All in all we had as frequent travelers a surprisingly great stay @ Heure Bleue Palais. Big compliments to Eric and his team.

This is a nice solid hotel, which was clean, comfortable and cozy. Breakfast was really nice, and G-d bless the lovely woman at the kitchen, who makes a fantastic cafe au lait with a huge smile, and even after each of us having three delicious cups, she insisted on making us more, which we had to decline. We loved that there's a Carrefour about a three minute walk from the hotel.

    Mix of old town, port and beach.

    Mix of old town, port and beach. In danger of becoming a little overrun with tourists during day. All felt very safe. Loads of usual souk shops - especially notable are the wood ones (Thuya). Large gently sloping beach, good for watersports. Don't miss the port - very active during day - buy some fish and get it cooked nearby very cheaply, but can get very busy (and chaotic!). Wide range of restaurants, recommend the Ocean Vagabond at far end of beach. Taros bar is liveliest place, but drinks pricey. Note of caution : We did get get some food poisoning, difficult to be precise, but seemed to stem from one meal at a 'good' restaurant ( I won't name and shame as cannot be totally sure !?) , probably from a salad or fruit dessert ?

    A hidden little gem!!

    A hidden little gem!! The local people and the magical vibe of this place will stay in our hearts for along time! I accidentally booked our family to stay here instead of Essoauria and did not regret it for one minute. We loved it here and with our car we were able to drive to Essoauria easily.

    There's some local shops about 7 mins from the hotel, but you would need a taxi/ car to visit. Quite basic shops/coffee places for a more authentic village experience, but the main attraction is Essaouira which is a further 10 mins by car.

    An interesting and unspoilt Moroccan village. Friendly people and nice countryside. Easy for Essaouira and peaceful return after a busy day in the Medina. Great Sunday Market a few minutes away, Val d'Argan vineyard in the village and other things nearby
