His knowledge was exceptional and enabled us to go to places most tourists never see; the home-cooking was of such high quality we dined all three nights in Riad Badiaa and savoured the host‘s choice of Moroccan wine. The property exceeded our expectations being so spacious, the food was delicious and plenty, the area is so beautiful and the animals are a great feature for families with children. Enjoy the sunset from the rooftop garden and lounge area. The rooms are beautiful, and the owner is very hospitable. I strongly recommend eating in at night at least once; the food is stellar! You won't regret it. And make time for a good Moroccan breakfast, too. A La Belle Étoile is centrally located, and easy to get to by taxi from Rabat Airport (use the small yellow taxis) or from Salé Train Station. The little shopping streets of Salé and the market, the beach with its fish market, and the Bouregreg Marina are all in easy walking distance, as is the tram into the central Rabat. Exceptional details, like the paintings on the walls and the greenery of the plants add a perfect finish to the design. The staff are warm, genuine and welcoming. It was the quietest Riad we stayed in , you could make the room really dark at night, so great for getting the best sleep. We wished we could have stayed longer. Excellent location away from the hustle of the Medina in Rabat we loved getting the ferry across for just MAD 2.5 each.. Just walk to the mosque overlooking the sea and follow around to the left until you get to the new marina development. Had a beautiful view of the medina Salé. But for us the most important thing was the overall experience we had. Our host was really kind and sweet. One of the nicest people we met in Morocco and the Medina in Salé is relatively unexplored by tourists, making it a very authentic experience for us. People were extremely nice and honest, not something you get to see in Fes or Marrakech. Very close to Rabat, just a short walk. Take the public water taxi over to the main town as it is really cheap and fun. The souk of Sale is also lovely! The sea on the Sale side is easily accessible. The accomodation was great but you need a car to get grocerries and food. The restaurants are 2 or 3 only and with limited options. The walk from the the apartement to the restaurants is long as you need to go to the beach which has lots of steps as the property is on a higher level than the beach. Be aware of street dogs, as they are everywhere even on beach sometimes. The supermarket (Beem) is 10min drive with a car which has most of the basic needs. Also 4 pharmacies are available. Salé has much more of the old world charm than does Rabat, and after all that is why you visited Morocco in the first place! Naturally the street food and small cafes are great, but if you want fine dining it is within a short walk to the marina area. There you will have access to excellent food and a great selection of the finest locally produced wines. Try "Al Marsa" restaurant.
