We had an excellent weekend stay at the new Hyatt Centric in Malta! The hotel is top notch, the staff are extremely friendly and practice true hospitality. The rooms are beautiful with a lot of local Maltese touches including the traditional Maltese door knobs that make its charm unique. In addition, the spa is a beautiful oasis of calmness and boutique personal care. The hotel is bang in the middle of the island's entertainment spots and the superbowl and cinema are a couple of minutes away, making it ideal for families with young children.

The hotel is located in the center, but at the same time on a quiet street. It is important that the hotel is after the reconstruction of a historical building - everything is new, clean, beautiful, tastefully decorated interior and rooftop pool overlooking the harbour. What I like most about the hotel is the staff - everyone is very friendly and genuinely willing to help. On the day of arrival, there was a lovely girl Marina, who told and showed everything. But the most interesting thing happened on the way out of the hotel and this confirmed the level of preparation and attitude towards the hotel's customers. I forgot my watch and jewelry in my room and remembered it at the airport. Everything was like in a James Bond movie. I called the hotel, after 5 minutes they collected my things, sealed them and called a taxi. The taxi left for the airport and Pyne sent me a screenshot of the route and the car. And she sent me the movement, and when the taxi arrived at the airport, I was already waiting at the entrance. I received my things 5 ​​minutes before boarding. It was a quest and a miracle. I would like to thank Pyne from the front desk for their professionalism and excellent customer service.

    We loved this resort!! It completely exceeded all of our expectations- it should get (at least) 9.5 score here, if not 10! Amazing facilities- indoor and outdoor pools, restaurants, bars, music, activities, live shows. Amazing breakfast and really friendly and kind staff who are down to earth and go above and beyond to make you feel welcomed. Really nice peaceful atmosphere all together. We had some concerns about the location before coming, but we found it great actually- there is a nice promenade, beach club, food truck, restaurant options, boat to the islands, bus station...all outside your doorstep. it was a truly relaxing and enjoyable experience!

    The entire hotel was a piece of art! The decoration was exceptional! Our room was very big and perfectly clean and the mattress was very comfortable! The location was more than convenient! All bars, restaurants, pubs, cafes, sightseeing bus stations, etc. were within walking distance (literally 1 min). The breakfast was great with a big variety and the infinity pool was absolutely magical with the view of the bay. Last but not least! All the people working at the hotel and the pool were more than polite and helpful! Thank you for all, we will definitely visit you again!

    The Hotel is amazing. Cosy, clean and the staff are super friendly. A good choice of restaurants to choose from and they all taste delicious. The Sunday lunch is exceptional though. Variety of foods to choose from and they cater for all nutritions. The Hotel's location is very convenient, close to the promenade, multiple restaurants and bars around as well as very close to the Bus Terminus.

    At first I was scared this was going to be some kind of...

    At first I was scared this was going to be some kind of party area of the city, but luckily I was wrong. At night, it was very quiet except for the promenade. So it was a really good location because you could have your quiet but also enjoy the lively environment of the sea promenade if you wished so by just walking a few hundred meters. Regarding transportations, it was super easy to come around, with all the buses to major destination in just a half kilometer-one kilometer radius, but be mindful that traffic in Malta is kind of heavy and to go to any other municipality it takes quite longer than you would expect (for instance, to go from St. Julian to Mdina it took my almost 1h and 30 minutes, even though they are actually so close)

    Sliema is very nice location, but having only very rocky beaches. There are many restaurants and coffee bars, the food is good, but not cheap at all. You could walk along the seaside many kilometers- on both directions (La Valletta and St. Julian).

    The beach was clean and sunbeds with umbrellas were great. They even provided a separate towel to lie on. This was a small cost for the use of it all day. The bar and restaurant weren’t part of our hotel but just a stones throw, so perfect. Lots of rocks to lie on and ladders used in parts to get into the sea. St. Paul’s Bay is a pretty town with shops, restaurants, and beachside cafes, easy to get around using ferry and Uber.

    Valletta is very busy when cruise ships dock. The queue at the Cathedral gets quite long at these times so keep an eye on the docking timetable. Plenty of good dining options. Lots to see with the war rooms well worth a visit. A trip to Mdina is worthwhile east to get to by bus or taxi.

    I like to stay in Gzira, but to travel from here to other destinations in Malta. Gzira is noisy, dusty, too much traffic. Good enough to stay to sleep and to travel/swim/visit anywhere else in Malta. Gzira = good base for trips.

    Although I have been to Mellieha before and it has changed enormously in the last 25 years, I think it is still one of the most charming parts of Malta. There are dozens of bars and restaurants, a fair few of which I have visited and every one was excellent. I could not fault the village in any way I would certainly recommend this as a holiday destination. Although very hilly, I believe that is part of its charm and I have stayed in other parts of Malta, all of which have their own attraction.

    Quiet fishing bay with more locals than tourists. Water is super clean here and safe swimming straight off the rocks. Great beach bars with tasty food and fantastic happy hours. A fabulous array of super high quality restaurants (not cheap). TalFamija and Nargile Lounge were particularly good along with Legends for cocktails.

    Msida is a great location to stay being perfectly placed to...

    Msida is a great location to stay being perfectly placed to visit the busy areas of Valletta, Sliema and St Julian's. The marina is amazing with some of the best restaurants in Malta just a short distance away on foot or by Uber or Bolt. Buses run to all parts of the island from stops within walking distance of the centre. Breakfast at the Busy Bee in Msida is a must as is a visit to their ice cream parlour in the evening.

    Not your normal seaside holiday resort.

    Not your normal seaside holiday resort. The freeport as a back drop can be a bit of a shock but is soon overlooked. The Village is quaint with ample facilities, but not the place for people looking for nightlife. Lovely. Great time had by all our family.

    One of our group lived in Marsaxlokk when a baby, so it was great to go and see the house. The harbour is pretty, but some may not like the fact that there is a huge power station and a container port across the harbour. Personally, this was a plus as one of our group works in shipping. It did not detract from the stay at all, and in fact it was great to see fishing boats and real activity there. There are many good restaurants along the harbour. People friendly. Lots of cats who appear to be fed by the locals who have also provided comfy looking cat houses/hotels for them (one in an old boat)! Easy access to Valetta etc. Bolt was good and not too expensive.
