- Scored out of 10, guest rating 7.4Good - What previous guests thought, 9,653 reviewsAldo, the manager, is undoubtedly the hero of my New Year's Eve and holiday experience. With exceptional communication skills and a radiant positive energy, his clear goal is to ensure guests enjoy their stay to the maximum. I am guaranteed to return and stay there again. Originally, I had booked a stay at another hotel, which turned out to be unacceptable. Without any prior notice, I decided to check out and began searching for a new hotel. According to Booking.com, there were two available rooms at Alexandra. However, upon reaching the reception, the apologetic receptionist informed us of a system glitch on New Year's Eve. Everything was fully booked, but due to the glitch, the availability hadn't updated as it should have on Booking.com. I wasn't the only guest facing this issue that day. Fortunately, Aldo, the manager, was present at the reception and witnessed my predicament. After sharing my story, he miraculously secured an available room for me, even though it could only offer two single beds instead of a double. This detail was inconsequential to me; I simply needed a decent hotel room with any bed for the remainder of my stay in Malta. Aldo not only saved my New Year by arranging a room at a very decent price but also worked his magic by securing a table for me at an already fully booked hotel restaurant for the New Year's Eve Dinner. This hotel, available at a reasonable price, offers everything one needs and more. Thoughtful design elements, such as the pool temperature and room lighting, showcase careful consideration. While there is upcoming maintenance on the horizon, rest assured that it will not impact guests or their overall stay experience. In conclusion, I highly recommend this hotel, thanks to Aldo's dedicated efforts and the overall positive ambiance it provides.Guest review byAnnaIceland
- From US$175.48 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.8Good - What previous guests thought, 2,412 reviewsAx Sunny Coast was in a good spot. Not too busy but enough going to feel a buzz. Bus stop convenient to hotel. Hop on Hop off bus and travel centre across the road. Two lovel restaurants as part of the group as well as a beautiful indoor and outdoor pool. Close to the Aquarium and Cafe Dek Mar night club. Our room had great views 611 of the water however I think some rooms would not have a great view. Staff were always helpful and friendly. Pretty clean and rooms serviced every 3 days. The decor in the room may need some updating but it is still neat and has a great Kitchenette. There is a mini mart across the road or 10 minutes walk to Welbees aupermarket if you wanted to buy a little cheaper. Also there is an ATM machine across the road.Guest review byDeborahAustralia
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.4Very good - What previous guests thought, 4,343 reviewsI wanted to say huge thanks to the hotel administration and staff. The atmosphere and comfort of the place are just stunning. The room was spacious, neat and clean. A small fridge is a bid plus. My friend is a vegan and we were worried she won't be eating during breakfast time. However, she was actually happy with the variety of products. Same as me. The food is delicious and enough for everybody to have an option. The SPA is an absolute pleasure. Thank you very much for making it such a good experience for us!Guest review byKarynaUkraine

I assume its a good place if you are single and you want to party and meet new people. For everybody else its a shallow place with nothing there to see, way too crowded during the night in high season with people that are half dressed, drunk and very vocal. During the day the smell is horrendous in some areas from last night's parties because of the trash and the vomit. The best thing about St. Julien's is that its close to other way more interesting locations.Guest review byAnonymous - 6.0
Full of high-rise concrete hotels.
Full of high-rise concrete hotels. You have to wander away from the promenade to find anything more characterful. That said, it's easy and cheap to grab a bus to the ferry stop to get across to Valetta and the 3 cities. But the prom itself is a pleasant place to walk along with the sea right there. Swimming holes are plentiful and beach bars reasonably priced. Factor in potentially a 30 minute wait for the ferry over if you just missed one, or if the little taxis aren't running. (If it's windy/choppy) if its calm and sunny, the 3euro per person water taxi over to Valetta is a no-brainer; way nicer than crowding onto the big ole ferry.Guest review byAndrewUnited Kingdom - 10.0
The beach was clean and sunbeds with umbrellas were great.
The beach was clean and sunbeds with umbrellas were great. They even provided a separate towel to lie on. This was a small cost for the use of it all day. The bar and restaurant weren’t part of our hotel but just a stones throw, so perfect. Lots of rocks to lie on and ladders used in parts to get into the sea. St. Paul’s Bay is a pretty town with shops, restaurants, and beachside cafes, easy to get around using ferry and Uber.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0
Valletta has plenty to offer tourists.
Valletta has plenty to offer tourists. There are busses, ferry’s, Uber and Bolt that make getting about without a car very easy. Lots to explore. Good dinning in the numerous restaurants and eateries. We loved it and the surrounding area and will come back again, staying longer!Guest review byGRAHAMUnited States - 8.0

Malta offers a good public transport, so it is so easy to move around. There are plenty of bars and resturants. Beautiful sea and places of interests to visit via public transport. I really love St. Julians town and its landscape. Cruising Gomo and Goso is very ineresting too.Guest review byadedotunUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Although I have been to Mellieha before and it has changed...
Although I have been to Mellieha before and it has changed enormously in the last 25 years, I think it is still one of the most charming parts of Malta. There are dozens of bars and restaurants, a fair few of which I have visited and every one was excellent. I could not fault the village in any way I would certainly recommend this as a holiday destination. Although very hilly, I believe that is part of its charm and I have stayed in other parts of Malta, all of which have their own attraction.Guest review byMcLennan - 8.0
Enough restaurants to choose.
Enough restaurants to choose. Really nice beaches and very safe circumstansies for a walk in the municipalitiy. Well equiepped shops, kind staff anywhere. Buses are clean and fast, we were satisfied with them. Missing some cultural evenings (e.g. concerts) - our stay was at the end of September. But maybe at main time (June-August) they would be available, please check it. Small town with a very good beaches, they makes us feel happy.Guest review byKrisztinaSlovakia - 8.0
Not your normal seaside holiday resort.
Not your normal seaside holiday resort. The freeport as a back drop can be a bit of a shock but is soon overlooked. The Village is quaint with ample facilities, but not the place for people looking for nightlife. Lovely. Great time had by all our family.Guest review byGrahamUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Msida is a great location to stay being perfectly placed to visit the busy areas of Valletta, Sliema and St Julian's. The marina is amazing with some of the best restaurants in Malta just a short distance away on foot or by Uber or Bolt. Buses run to all parts of the island from stops within walking distance of the centre. Breakfast at the Busy Bee in Msida is a must as is a visit to their ice cream parlour in the evening.Guest review byJohnUnited Kingdom - 6.0
Cospicua is a place for quiet people.
Cospicua is a place for quiet people. It is a good base for travelling. Ferry to Valletta is good there and back. Bormla has buses to everywhere. A round island tour is great for sightseeing and you see more. The fruits confections and bakeries are very very succulent. I liked the soil in Malta`s fields with people in them and crops, a great change from Spanish islands bare lava environment.Guest review byJohnUnited Kingdom
